Abstract: A transportation system that includes a camera, a taxi-fleet and a controller-circuit. The camera is operable to render an image of a pickup-area where a client waits to be picked up. The client is characterized as having one of no-special-needs and a special-need. The taxi-fleet includes a standard-taxi and a special-taxi. Each of the taxis is operable to pick-up one or more clients at the pickup-area. The standard-taxi is not configured to accommodate the special-need, and the special-taxi is configured to accommodate the special-need. The controller-circuit is in communication with the special-taxi and the camera. The controller-circuit is configured to determine that the client in the image has the special-need based on the image. In response to the determination that the client has the special-need, the controller-circuit is configured direct the special-taxi to pick-up the client with the special-need.

Abstract: An electrical-circuit assembly includes an electrical-device and a heat-sink. The heat-sink has a base having a first-surface and a second-surface. The first-surface is in thermal communication with the electrical-device. The heat sink also has a lid having a third-surface and a fourth-surface. The third-surface faces toward the second-surface. The heat sink also has side-walls disposed between the base and the lid extending from the second-surface to the third-surface. The base, the lid, and the side-walls define a cavity. The heat sink also has a porous-structure extending from the second-surface toward the third-surface terminating a portion of the distance between the second-surface and the third-surface thereby defining a void between the porous-structure and the third-surface. The base, the side-walls, and the porous-structure are integrally formed of a common material. The porous-structure is characterized as having a contiguous-porosity network. The heat sink also has a heat-transfer-fluid disposed within the cavity.

Abstract: A connector-assembly includes a housing, a terminal-position-assurance device, and a resistor-assembly. The housing includes a plurality of electrical-terminals. The terminal-position-assurance device is configured to retain the plurality of electrical-terminals within the housing. The resistor-assembly is disposed within the terminal-position-assurance device and includes a first-spring-terminal, a second-spring-terminal, and a resistor disposed between the first-spring-terminal and the second-spring-terminal. The first-spring-terminal and the second-spring-terminal are in separate electrical-communication with at least one of the plurality of electrical-terminals. The resistor has connection-leads disposed within slots formed in both the first-spring-terminal and the second-spring-terminal, and is disposed within channels formed in the terminal-position-assurance device. The first-spring-terminal, the second-spring-terminal, and the terminal-position-assurance device are in compressive contact with a portion of the connection-leads.

Abstract: A system for operating an automated-taxi includes an input-device and a controller-circuit. The input-device is operable by a client to indicate a desired-destination of the client. The display is viewable by the client. The controller-circuit is in communication with the input-device and the display. The controller-circuit is configured determine a preferred-route in accordance with the desired-destination and a plurality of other-destinations indicated by a plurality of other-clients of an automated-taxi. The preferred-route includes an alternate-destination for the client. The alternate-destination characterized as within a distance-threshold of the desired-destination of the client. The controller-circuit is further configured to operate the display to request a route-approval from the client for the alternate-destination, and, in response to receiving the route-approval, operate the automated-taxi in accordance with the preferred-route to transport the client to the alternate-destination.

The method further includes the steps of applying a curable adhesive, such as a urethane acrylate oligomer based adhesive, to the jackets of the first and second wire cables, twisting the first and second wire cables one about the other, and curing the adhesive.

Abstract: A connector assembly includes an electrical-terminal, a housing, and a lock-reinforcement. The a housing defines a cavity configured to receive the electrical-terminal. The housing includes a locking-finger overlaying the electrical-terminal configured to lock the electrical-terminal within the cavity. The locking-finger has a rib protruding from the locking-finger having a first-surface and a second-surface. A tip of the locking-finger includes a locking-ramp projecting from the locking-finger configured to engage a perimeter-edge of a lock-slot defined by the electrical-terminal. The lock-reinforcement is disposed within the cavity and configured to slideably engage both the first-surface and the second-surface of the rib after the lock-reinforcement is moved from a pre-stage-position to a seated-position. The lock-reinforcement is configured to inhibit a buckling of the cantilevered locking-finger when a removal-force is applied to the electrical-terminal when the lock-reinforcement is in the seated-position, thereby inhibiting the locking-ramp from rotating within the lock-slot of the electrical-terminal.

Abstract: A fuse assembly includes an insulating block having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a side surface therebetween. The insulating block defines cavities extending therethrough. Each cavity defines a resilient lock arm. A fuse assembly also includes a first terminal stud secured within a first cavity by a first lock arm, a second terminal stud secured within a second cavity by a second lock arm, and a bus bar disposed parallel to the bottom surface of the insulating block. The bus bar is interconnected to the first terminal stud by a lower terminal connected to the bus bar and an upper terminal disposed parallel to the upper surface. The bus bar is interconnected to the second terminal stud by a fusible link having a lower fuse terminal connected to the bus bar and an upper fuse terminal disposed generally parallel to the upper surface.

The end defines a lock edge. The terminal is received in the terminal receiving cavity such that the first lock surface and the second lock surface engages the lock edge, thereby inhibiting the terminal from being withdrawn from the terminal receiving cavity.
