Abstract:
The present invention disclosed a Universal Serial Bus (USB) apparatus. The apparatus includes: a signal detecting unit for detecting a packet signal transmitted from a USB host and generating an acknowledgment signal according to a detection result; an error detecting unit, coupled to the signal detecting unit, for generating a control signal according to the acknowledgment signal; and a frequency generating unit, coupled to the error detecting unit, for generating an output clock signal according to the control signal.
Abstract:
An address management method and a routing method for a wireless personal area network (WPAN) is provided. The address management method includes setting an update route flag relating to a portable node and a previous network address which is an address of the node before the movement, if a node moves around; and broadcasting a network command frame including the set update route flag and previous network address.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process for preparing a patterned layer of aligned carbon nanotubes on a substrate including: applying a photoresist layer to at least a portion of a surface of a substrate capable of supporting nanotube growth, masking a region of said photoresist layer to provide a masked portion and an unmasked portion, subjecting said unmasked portion to electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength and intensity sufficient to transform the unmasked portion while leaving the masked portion substantially untransformed, said transformed portion exhibiting solubility characteristics different to said untransformed portion, developing said photoresist layer by contacting with a solvent for a time and under conditions sufficient to dissolve one of said transformed and untransformed portions of the photoresist, leaving the other portion attached to said substrate, synthesising a layer of aligned carbon nanotubes on regions of said substrate to which said remaining photoresist portion is not attached to provide a patterned layer of aligned carbon nanotubes on said substrate.
Abstract:
A method for forming an image on a printing plate intermediate having a radiation transparent removable coating layer is disclosed. An image mask, opaque to ultraviolet radiation, is applied to the coating layer with an ink jet system. After the plate intermediate is exposed with ultraviolet radiation, the image mask and coating layer are removed, and plate intermediate developed.
Abstract:
A fluid conduit (10) is provided having (a) a fluid conduit exterior surface (14); (b) a fluid conduit interior surface (16); (c) an electroless nickel protective coating (18) disposed upon one or both of the fluid conduit interior surface and the fluid conduit exterior surface; and (d) a layer (20) of Ni3S2 disposed upon and substantially covering the electroless nickel protective coating. The fluid conduit can be any fluid conduit through which a fluid may be caused to pass, such as a downhole tubular used in oil and gas production, or a gas liquid cyclonic separator. And a hydrocarbon production tube, a method of producing a fluid conduit comprising a nickel sulfide protective layer, a machine component comprising at least one surface having a protective outer layer are provided. The combination of the electroless nickel inner protective coating with an outer layer of Ni3S2 affords articles such as fluid conduits and machine components with exceptional scale and corrosion resistance.
Abstract:
A pre-provisioned application platform may be provided. First, a plurality of parameters may be received. Then a plurality of pre-provisioned tenants may be created based upon the received plurality of parameters. A request for service may be received and then an actual tenant may be assigned to one of the plurality of pre-provisioned tenants in response to the received request.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the isolation of Jatropha curcas curcin genes and tissue-specific promoters and to the production of curcin-deficient Jatropha plants. More specifically, the present invention relates to the isolation of Jatropha curcas Curcin 1, Curcin 2 and Curcin 2 A. The present invention further relates to of the Curcin 1, Curcin 2 A and Curcin 2 genes and more particularly to tissue specific promoters of the Curcin 1 and Curcin 2A genes. The present invention further relates to production of curcin-deficient transgenic jatropha plants by using RNAi technology to suppress curcin gene expression.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a micro-volume liquid ejection system, including an air pressure module, a micro-ejection unit which is connected with the air pressure module by a conduit, and a control circuit which is connected with the air pressure module and the micro-ejection unit respectively. The air is used as the pressure medium, resulting in improved cleaning process and reduced sample waste. The present invention includes an electric control circuit to pick up sample, eject sample and clean the conduits automatically, and enables handling of a multiplicity of samples. The present invention can be used for transferring or dispensing micro volume liquid including biological liquid on a nL and μL scale.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of plant molecular biology, more particularly Jatropha microsomal co6 oleate desaturases. The present invention also relates to Jatropha plants or plants of other oil crops having seeds with altered ratios of monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats. In particular, the present invention relates to Jatropha plants or plants of other oil crops where the plants exhibit elevated levels of oleic acid.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for the regeneration and Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of plants in the genera of Jatropha, more specifically, in Jatropha curcas.
