PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that corrects errors generated during signal transmission prior to transmission in a digital Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) communication system.SOLUTION: A digital spread spectrum communication system calculates phase errors and frequency errors in a received signal from an opposite communication party during communication, and pre-corrects the phase errors and the frequency errors of the signal prior to transmission to the opposite communication party.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve some problems of a conventional reporting mechanism implemented on the LTE network that, firstly, an event for LTE reflecting the unique characteristics of LTE is not defined currently, secondary, there is no mechanism available for periodic measurement report actuated by an event in the LTE system, thirdly, there is no uplink channel for exclusive use in the LTE system, and thereby a mechanism for requesting and scheduling uplink resources is needed for periodic measurement report after some event.SOLUTION: A method and a device for measurement report in E-UTRAN and periodic measurement report actuated by an event are disclosed. A WTRU monitors a reference signal unique to cell from a cell in communication and an adjacent cell, and detects a report event defined for E-UTRAN. The WTRU transmits the measurement report to a network. The measurand may be RSRQ. After detecting a report event, the WTRU transmits the measurement report actuated by an event periodically.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for password management and SSO(Single Sign-On) access based on a TC(Trusted Computing) technology.SOLUTION: The method includes mounting a TPM(Trusted Platform Module) of a TCG(Trusted Computing Group) bringing about a secure trusted mechanism for generating, storing and extracting a password and SSO qualification certificate by interacting with a proxy SSO unit and a Web access application. Various embodiments allow a user to sign on to a secure proxy existing on the device of the user only once, and to securely and transparently jump from one site belonging to a preliminarily identified site group to another site.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method and apparatus for adjusting a channel quality indicator (CQI) feedback period to increase uplink capacity in a wireless communication system.SOLUTION: The uplink capacity is increased by reducing the uplink interference caused by CQI transmissions. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) monitors a status of downlink transmissions to the WTRU and sets the CQI feedback period on the basis of the status of the downlink transmissions to the WTRU. A base station monitors uplink and downlink transmission needs. The base station determines the CQI feedback period of at least one WTRU on the basis of the uplink and downlink transmission needs and sends a command to the WTRU to change the CQI feedback period of the WTRU.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide handover between a 3GPP based network and a non-3GPP network where a policy update to a new gateway is requested.SOLUTION: Provided are: a method of operating a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU); and a WTRU configured to receive a radio link control (RLC)/media access control (MAC) header. The header is coded for a reduced transmission time interval (RTTI) operation. The header includes a 16-bit cyclic redundancy check (CRC) on an RLC/MAC payload related to the RLC/MAC header.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code division multiple access (CDMA) modem for a spread spectrum communication system, which transmits and receives a communication signal including an information signal and a connection control signal through a transmission channel and a reception channel respectively having first and second pilot code signals synchronized with each other.SOLUTION: This CDMA modem includes a modem transmitter having: a code generator that generates an associated pilot code signal and also generates a plurality of message code signals; spreading means that generates a message signal subjected to spread spectrum processing, by combining the information signals with the respective message code signals; and a global pilot code generator that generates a global pilot code signal which is a synchronization reference of the message code signals. This CDMA modem also includes a modem receiver having: an associated pilot code generator; and a group of associated pilot code correlators for correlating a code-phase delayed output of the associated pilot signal with a reception CDMA signal to produce a spread associated pilot signal.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem of NMEs not knowing what exists in a MIB in a WTRU.SOLUTION: The system comprises: at least one access point (AP) (110) including a first management entity (150) and a second management entity (155); and at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) (105) including a third management entity (165) and a fourth management entity (170). The AP transmits a management information base (MIB) information request action frame including a category field and an action details field to a WTRU. In response to receiving the information request action frame, the WTRU determines whether to provide management information to the AP. When the WTRU provides management information to the AP, the WTRU compiles management information stored in a MIB located in the WTRU and transmits a MIB information report action frame to the AP.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for taking measurements with a smart antenna in a wireless communication system having a plurality of STAs and a method for efficient beam selection.SOLUTION: A station (STA) receives the number of measurement packets, and sends a measurement report based on the number of measurement packets. The measurement report is usable by other STAs to select transmission antennas.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover, by a proxy function, control signaling associated with short message service (SMS).SOLUTION: A method for delivering an SMS message to interworking wireless local area network user equipment (I-WLAN UE) starts by registering the UE with an Internet Protocol short message gateway (IP-SM-GW). A capability report is sent from the UE to the IP-SM-GW, the capability report including the capabilities of the UE. An SMS message is transmitted from a short message service center (SMSC) to the IP-SM-GW. The capabilities of the UE are evaluated at the IP-SM-GW to determine whether the UE can receive the SMS message, and the SMS message is delivered to the UE via the IP-SM-GW if the UE has the capabilities to receive the SMS message.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize redundant EU (enhanced uplink) allocation to be generated between a WTRU (wireless transmission and reception unit) 102 and a node B104 to resist an obstacle of a failure in EU transmission.SOLUTION: A WTRU 102 transmits an allocation request via a UL EU channel 110. In one embodiment, when E-DCH allocation is not provided within a predetermined time period, a node B transmits a confirmation message to the WTRU via a DL EU signaling channel 112 without transmitting E-DCH allocation information. The request is put in a queue in the node B, and the WTRU stops transmission of the same request until after the time period expires or until a resource becomes usable.
