Abstract:
A method of monitoring an immunoassay comprises determining the position of the flow edge of fluid across an immunoassay region. This allows, for example, early detection of possible errors in the test. For example the speed of the movement of the fluid flow edge may be determined from measurements of the position of the fluid flow edge at times throughout the test, and the determined speed may be compared with one or more thresholds to determine whether the test is proceeding correctly. A further method of monitoring an immunoassay comprising monitoring the variation with time of a reference zone of an immunoassay region. This can provide the user with early information as to whether the test is proceeding correctly. The above methods may also be used to provide methods to improve the run conditions of a test during its development. The method may be applied to a competitive assay.
Abstract:
A system and a method for managing a solicitation campaign are disclosed. A solicitor provides a solicitation center with pages of personalized script, which are generated using a first script template. The solicitor receives solicitee responses, analyzes the solicitiee responses, and determines whether to continue the solicitation campaign using the current script template or using a second script template for subsequent solicitations.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method is performed during an online chat session between a customer service representative (CSR) of a merchant, and the merchant's customer. Conversational text of the session is analyzed to determine a mood of the customer. Previously collected information about the customer is accessed, from a database that stores information about customers of the merchant. A tip is determined and sent to be displayed to the CSR. The tip is determined based on the mood and the accessed previously collected information. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
A number of sets of recipients of an electronic messaging protocol message distribution campaign are identified. Each set can be a one or more recipient. Scripting language is added to each message directed to a recipient. The added scripting language refers to a number of image objects/files that have been selected to form a compound image (when juxtaposed). The compound image is unique to one of the sets. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of fencing systems are provided that incorporate tri-truss assemblies and/or self-closing gates. A tri-truss assembly may provide stability and support to a gate that is part of a portable or temporary fencing system. A tri-truss assembly may be configured to support a self-closing gate that is part of a pool fence. A tri-truss assembly may include three vertical support members. Two of the three vertical support members may include pins configured to be placed within pre-drilled holes in a surface in order to maintain the tri-truss assembly upright. A third vertical support may be a different length (shorter or longer) than the first two vertical support members and include an adjustable foot, such as a threaded bolt, configured to contact the surface and provide additional stability and/or support.
Abstract:
A new cultivar of Blueberry plant, ‘Anthocyanin Blues’, that is characterized by its berries that are very small in size, dark blue in color in small compact clusters and are very firm, pleasant tasting, do no leak juice, promote molds, have a long shelf life, its berries with an early ripening season that 90% of the berries can be harvested in a single pick by machine harvesting, its berries that have a small dry picking scar and can be harvested without stems attached, its resistance to berry molds, its upright growth habit with moderate branching and numerous canes with small dark green leaves, and its lack of rooting suckers.

Abstract:
Fixation assemblies having a button captured by a continuous (i.e., closed) loop of thread, such as ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber are disclosed herein. Preferred assemblies are constructed such that the intact button cannot be detached from the continuous loop without breaking or opening the loop of fiber. The closed fiber advantageously contains at least one or two stitched, or otherwise secured or reinforced, sections positioned on the loop.
Abstract:
Various embodiments provide an apparatus and method for collecting and distributing power usage data from Rack Power Distribution Units (RPDUs) using a wireless sensor network. An example embodiment includes: establishing communication with a plurality of Rack Power Distribution Units (RPDUs) deployed at particular points in a facility, each RPDU of the plurality of RPDUs being configured to monitor power consumption of a plurality of electronic devices in the facility; periodically obtaining system data from each of the plurality of RPDUs, the system data including power consumption data corresponding to associated electronic devices, the system data being received from the plurality of RPDUs via a wired data connection; using a wireless bridge device to aggregate the system data from a plurality of associated RPDUs, the wireless bridge device transferring the aggregated system data to a gateway via a wireless sensor network; and using the system data to control operation of the plurality of electronic devices in the facility via the wireless bridge device and the plurality of associated RPDUs.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for drag reduction on a moving object through the atmosphere, thus increasing fuel efficiency. This is accomplished by attaching an inflatable boattail (i.e. drag reducer) to the aft face or rear end of a vehicle or trailer, thus delaying the flow separation to a point further downstream and mitigating the intensity of the negative pressure on the aft face.
