La presente invencion se refiere a un panel de pantalla de plasma que tiene una celula de descarga con canal y a un metodo de fabricacion del mismo. El panel de pantalla de plasma que tiene una pluralidad de celulas de descarga con canal incluye un substrato transparente (21) que tiene al menos un canal aislado (22) en una celula de descarga, uno o mas electrodos soportados (23) en cada canal (22) y extendidos hacia fuera del canal (22), uno o mas electrodos colectores (24) sobre el electrodo soportado (23), y una capa dielectrica (25) formada sobre una superficie completa del substrato transparente (21) que incluye los electrodos soportados (23), los electrodos colectores (24), y el canal (22), en donde la capa dielectrica (25) tiene una primera porcion sobre el fondo del canal, una segunda porcion fuera del canal del substrato, y una tercera porcion sobre las paredes laterales del canal, y en donde el canal (22) tiene una primera longitud perpendicular a una direccion de los electrodos soportados (23) y una segunda longitud paralela a una direccion de los electrodos soportados (23) y la primera longitud es mayor que la segunda longitud.

The present invention discloses a plasma display panel and a method of fabricating the same. The plasma display panel of the present invention includes a first electrode on the first substrate, a first dielectric layer on the first substrate including the first electrode, a plurality of second electrodes completely buried in the first dielectric layer, a second dielectric layer on the first dielectric layer including the first electrode, a third dielectric layer on the second substrate, a plurality of UV visible photon conversion layers on the third dielectric layer, a plurality of barrier ribs between each of the UV visible photon conversion layers and connecting the first and second substrates, and a discharge chamber between the first and second substrates defined by the barrier ribs, wherein the first dielectric layer includes at least one trench type discharge space exposing a portion of the first electrode to the discharge chamber.

A plasma display panel having a trench discharge cell and a method of fabricating the same are disclosed in the present invention. The plasma display panel having a plurality of trench discharge cells includes a transparent substrate (21) having at least one isolated trench (22) in a discharge cell, one or more sustain electrodes (23) in each trench (22) and extended to outside of the trench (22), one or more bus electrodes (24) on the sustain electrode (23), and a dielectric layer (25) formed on an entire surface of the transparent substrate (21) including the sustain electrodes (23), the bus electrodes (24), and the trench (22), wherein the dielectric layer (25) has a first portion on the bottom of the trench, a second portion outside the trench of the substrate, and a third portion on side-walls of the trench, and wherein the trench (22) has a first length perpendicular to a direction of the sustain electrodes (23) and a second length parallel to a direction of the sustain electrodes (23) and the first length is greater than the second length.
