PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wireless process devices that can operate using an abundant renewable source of power that is not dependent upon the photovoltaic power generation.SOLUTION: A field device 34 constituting a process control and monitoring system 10 comprises: a controller 35; and a wireless communications module 32 coupled to the controller 35. A power generator 38 is provided to generate electricity for the field device 34. The power generator 38 can be disposed within the field device 34 or the power generator 38 can be a separate unit coupled to the field device 34.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface module coupled to a Modbus process control network and a Fieldbus process control network. SOLUTION: The interface module stores a register map database in which Fieldbus process control parameters of function blocks in the field devices of the Fieldbus process control network are mapped to register numbers of the Modbus process control network. Once the Fieldbus process control parameters are mapped to the Modbus registers, the interface module is adapted to transmit request messages on the Fieldbus process control network to the Fieldbus field devices for the current values of the process control parameters, and to store the current values of the process control parameters in the register map database. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulated capillary welding extension regarding a remote seal assembly. SOLUTION: The remote seal assembly 300 includes a seal body 302 and an extension 304. The seal body 302 limits a cavity 312 by a diaphragm 308, and seals the cavity 312 from a process fluid 322. The extension 304 is connected to the seal body 302 at the first end, and is connected to a capillary tube 342 at the second end. The extension 304 is extended from the first end to the second one, and limits a hole 324 fluidly connected to the cavity 312. Length L in the extension 304 is determined while being related to the temperature of the second terminal of the extension 304 so that the temperature of the second end of the extension 304 becomes the gas discharge temperature or smaller of a material used for connecting the extension 304 to the capillary tube 342. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved sealing system for remote processing. SOLUTION: This sealing system for the remote processing is provided with at least one remote-processing sealing body, connected to a process pressure transmitter via a connection pipe filled with a noncompressive filling fluid. The noncompressive filling fluid is brought into contact with at least one capturing member to reduce operational instability, caused by hydrogen gas accumulated with the lapse of time. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate high-level noise of a communication bus connected to an integrated circuit via a multi-core cable. SOLUTION: This process sensor module 100 includes a housing 104 with a first mounting part 106 to be rotation-freely joined to a corresponding mounting part on a bus adaptor module. The integrated circuit 110 in the housing includes a process sensor. A two-conductor circuit 116 excites the integrated circuit, transmits a sensed process variable to a bus adaptor module 102, and transmits data from the bus adaptor module 102 to the integrated circuit 110. A rotatable and coaxial electric contact part 120 is sealed in the first mounting part, and the two-conductor circuit is joined to the bus adaptor module 102.
