Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a cocoon-based, vascular patch and a method for manufacturing the same. The cocoon-based, vascular patch is manufactured by dividing a cocoon into two or more fragments in a predetermined form, the cocoon having a shell having a predetermined thickness. The cocoon-based vascular patch can be relatively simply manufactured in a more cost efficient manner than conventional vascular patches, and has excellent cell growth potential and biocompatibility.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a cosmetic composition including a hydrolysate from a silkworm gland. The hydrolysate is prepared by separating a gland from a silkworm, dissolving the separated gland into water, centrifuging and obtaining a supernatant, adding an alkaline compound to conduct hydrolysis, neutralizing and desalting. The cosmetic composition is harmless to humans, and has a good antioxidant activity, a good dermal fibroblast proliferating property, a good skin affinity, etc.
Abstract:
An automatic animal capturing apparatus is disclosed. The automatic animal capturing apparatus in accordance with the present invention allows for safe capturing of an animal as well as safety in the captor, by allowing a hand grip to be held by one hand and a rope to be held by the other hand, maintaining a trap in a spread state by straightening afixing wire of the trap, allowing the trap to be shut after surrounding a neck of the animal when the trap is approached to a neck area of the animal and the center portion of the fixing wire is pressed against the neck of the animal. Therefore, with the present invention, the animal can be safely captured, and any possible casualty during the capturing can be prevented. Furthermore, the animal can suffer with less stress because the animal can be captured quickly, and it becomes possible to provide early treatment to the animal by moving the animal to a safe place without wounding the animal.
Abstract:
Provided are a seed of new soybean cultivar SCEL-1, a plant body of the seed or a part of the plant body, and an extract obtained from the seed.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a cocoon-based artificial biomembrane and a method for manufacturing the same. A cocoon the shell of which has a first thickness is divided into two or more fragments in a predetermined form. The cocoon fragments may be used as artificial biomembranes. They can be relatively simply manufactured in a more cost efficient manner than conventional artificial biomembranes and have excellent cell growth potential. Also contemplated are a cocoon-based artificial biomembrane having excellent tensile strength and elongation, and a method for manufacturing the same.
Abstract:
Provided is a device for collecting mulberries, which is easy to install and disassemble while being manufactured with a low cost, and is able to help the growth of a fruit. The device for collecting mulberries includes: a net which is radially stretched out around a tree at a lower part of mulberries; a collection guiding unit which is installed in a center part of the net and guides falling mulberries to any one side; and a collecting bag which contains the mulberries guided from the collection guiding unit, wherein the collection guiding unit has a disk shape and is installed to be eccentric to a center of the net at any one side, so as to be slanted downwards to a slanted opposite side.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing germinated soy germ by germinating soy germ separated from soybeans. In particular, the method of the present invention includes the steps of: drying soybeans as a raw material in a hot-air dryer at 35℃ for 72 hours so as to efficiently isolate seed coats, cotyledons and soy germ from the soybeans; pulverizing the dried soybean seeds using a peeler; separating soy germ from the pulverized soybean seeds using a series of sieves having a sieve opening of 2.36 mm, 2.0 mm and 1.18 mm; putting the separated soy germ into a mesh bag having a size of 40 × 50 cm and inducing the germination thereof using running water at about 20℃ for 20 to 24 hours; harvesting the germinated soy germ with improvement in nutritional ingredients and cooking them with steam for 20 minutes; and freeze-drying or hot-air drying the steamed soy germ. The germinated soy germ prepared according to the method of the present invention can be effectively used as functional, industrial and medical materials as well as a raw material for various foods. Further, the method of the present invention is effective to improve the usefulness of soybeans that are Korean traditional food materials and increase the applicability thereof as a new food material being helpful to the improvement in national public health.
Abstract:
Provided are a method of producing a waxy rice cake that is not hardened for shelf-life, including: (a) immersing waxy rice in water and removing the water therefrom; (b) first steaming the waxy rice from which water is removed; (c) adding salt and water to the first steamed waxy rice, followed by second steaming; and (d) cooling the second steamed waxy rice and adding flour thereto, followed by punching, a waxy rice cake produced by using the method, and a processed food produced by processing the waxy rice cake. The waxy rice cake has longer storage duration than a conventional waxy rice cake and due to the long storage duration, the waxy rice cake can be distributed for shelf-life according to storage conditions. Also, the waxy rice cake retains its chewy texture and thus is suitable for consumers' tastes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a biodegradable, photo-degradable biofilm comprising rice hull and rice bran, and a method of its preparation. More particularly, the present presentation relates to a biodegradable, photo-degradable biofilm comprising rice hull and rice bran, starch, titanium dioxide and biodegradable polyester, which enables to retain a suitable strength to protect crops during their growth, thus being capable of reducing the cost normally required for collecting the leftover films used for covering field during cultivation and the handling cost thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing Phellinus linteus extract, comprising the steps of drying and grinding Phellinus linteus to obtain powder thereof, and I) adding to the powder less than a 15-fold excess of water, relative to the weight of the Phellinus linteus powder, and extracting Phellinus linteus extract therefrom at a temperature of 100°C for 5 hours; or ii) adding to the powder less than a 15-fold excess of water, relative to the weight of the Phellinus linteus powder, and extracting Phellinus linteus extract therefrom at a boiling point of 121°C for 1 hour under pressure of 15 lbs (1 kg/cm 2 ); or iii) adding to the powder less than a 15-fold excess of 50 to 75% aqueous ethanol or methanol solution, relative to the weight of the Phellinus linteus powder, and extracting Phellinu s linteus extract therefrom at a temperature of 60°C for 5 hours. Further, the present invention provides a food composition comprising the Phellinus linteus extract obtained by the same method.
