Abstract:
A reversing device for strip print media (10) in an electrographic printer for simplex and duplex operation contains two deflectors in the form of a reversing triangle which is stationary (33) on the intake side and pivotable (35) on the outlet side with a straight deflector (34, 36) and an oblique deflector (32, 37) at an angle of about 45 DEG thereto. The print medium end can be manually inserted more easily through the reversing device by pivoting the outlet reversing triangle (35) outwards.
Abstract:
Line structures are used for person identification purposes. In order to gather a large number of such line structures in a data basis, their original reproductions are analysed and reconstructed by means of orthonormal basis functions. A preferred direction of the line structure is determined for each pixel. A quality criterion is used to evaluate the reliability of the analysed data. Singularities (SI) and minutiae (MI) are extracted and stored.
Abstract:
In order to control the driving voltage of a fan (L) in electric equipment, the temperature of an output diode (D) of an output circuit of the power supply (SV) of the electrical equipment is monitored and the driving voltage of the fan (L) is controlled depending on the temperature (TK) of said component so that the driving voltage of the fan constantly remains at its minimum level until a threshold temperature is reached in the range of the highest admissible temperature of the component that heats up the most, in absolute value, than continuously and rapidly increases up to a maximum driving voltage at which the temperature of the component that heats up the most is higher than the threshold temperature but remains below the highest admissible temperature (TK) for said component.
Abstract:
In an arrangement for clearly allocating addresses for interlinked apparatus, the addresses are allocated by the same permutation of the signal leads in each apparatus.
Abstract:
A cooling and screening device for integrated circuits consists of a metal plate (26) with integrally formed cooling projections (28) and with bores (34) extending from the upper and lower sides of the metal plate (26). Inserted in said bores (34) are contact pins (39) whose free ends form soldering tips (38) intended for soldering in plated bores (40) in a printed circuit board (20).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a dispenser unit (42) for notes which comprises a note container (12) and a frame-shaped holder module (14) into which the note container (12) can be inserted and which comprises a removal and separating device for removing notes (42) through an opening in the note container. The opening can be closed by a flap (26) and a closure plate (30). A return element (44), which urges the notes located in the note container away from the opening into the interior of the container before the flap closes, is displaced by a force (P) pressing the notes against the removal arrangement (34) in the direction of the latter until the notes (42) reach the removal position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sheet-removal arrangement having a cassette for holding a sheet stack, and to a method of controlling the pressure of the sheet stack on the removal arrangement. The latter comprises draw-off rollers (16) disposed on a floating shaft (34). The floating shaft (34) is in turn connected at the centre in a rotationally rigid manner to a drive shaft (18) passing through said floating shaft. At one end (20), the drive shaft (18) is mounted in a bearing (21) which is rigid with the frame and at its other end (62) it is mounted in a displaceable bearing (64). A force sensor (70, 74, 76) for determining the pressure of the sheet stack (12) on the draw-off rollers (16) acts on the displaceable bearing (64). The pressure is controlled so that it always moves within a narrow intermediate range between a minimum and a maximum possible value.
Abstract:
The description relates to a process for electronically marking articles and a device for implementing it. A goods label (20) with a store (34) and a display (22) is allocated to the articles in the display stands of a supermarket. The article number is read by a manually operated device (60) from a bar-code label (76) attached to the article and stored in the store (34) as a goods label address. The article attributes to be shown on the display (22) together with the article number are either delivered by the manually operated device (60) or transmitted by radio from a central station (100). The label (20) compares the article number in the radio transmission with the stored label address and stores the article attributes to be shown on the display (22) only if there is a correlation in the store (34) between the two.
Abstract:
Described is a d.c. power supply with a buffered intermediate voltage (Uz) which, when the main power supply (S1) fails, is provided by an auxiliary power supply (S2), a digital power-failure signal (ACF) being generated by comparison of the intermediate voltage (Uz) with a threshold value, this signal controlling the auxiliary power supply (S2) and also being used to form a final failure signal (ACF').
Abstract:
A cutting device for cutting a printing carrier in a printer (10), especially in a till printer, has a blade (22) movable along at least one guide (28) against a fixed counter-blade (24) which, when open, provides an aperture (20) through which the printing carrier can pass and, when closed, at least partly cuts through the printing carrier. The blade (22) can be moved by an adjuster between the open and closed positions. The blade (22) has at least two guide components (38) fitted at a distance apart on the side away from the cutting edge (42) of the blade (22). The adjuster (30) penetrates into the guide components (38) to move the blade (22).
