Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-directional coupler which is new and can be integrated and whose operating parameter is not influenced by variation in element. SOLUTION: A non-directional coupler includes semiconductor bonding in series with a capacitor. The semiconductor bonding is formed such that the threshold frequency for which the semiconductor bonding operates as a rectifier becomes lower than the operation frequency of the coupler. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose the regulations for optimizing the use of frame memories which can be used for display in a reverse direction of an MPEG video stream. SOLUTION: The regulations for selecting the frame memory 5 when the frame memories are overwritten so that new pictures to be decoded can be stored, in processing in which the pictures of streams of picture data compressed in conformity with MPEG standards are decoded in a rewind mode and displayed by using the frame memories of the designated number N (in this case, N being an integer not less than four), the frame memories each being to store decoded pictures. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a SCR type switch. SOLUTION: The method is composed of applying several periods of a high-frequency voltage not rectified to a switching gate where the power of one HF half-wave is not sufficient to start the SCR type switch. As a substitute for a conventional gate contact, a HF signal goes to the sensitive area of a semiconductor component capacitively coupled via an insulating film, and then operates as a sensitive thyristor. This insulating film may be one of silicon oxide film layers used for a silicon semiconductor component. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system to achieve authentication of an electronic tag by a host to be connected to the tag through a reader. SOLUTION: At the tag side, a first digital signature is calculated by using at least one first function shared by the tag and the reader and by considering at least one first secret key recognized only by the tag and the reader, and the first signature is transmitted to the reader. At the reader side, a second digital signature is calculated by using at least one second function shared by the reader and the host which are different from the first function and by considering the first signature, and the second signature is transmitted to the host. At the host side, identity of the second signature, the second function and the host to a confirmed value calculated from a second secret key shared by the tag and a single element selected from the reader is checked. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting data between a master modem and at least one slave modem of a master-slave network in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing communication. SOLUTION: The method assigns to each slave modem at least one transmit frequency band and at least one receive frequency band chosen in a range of frequencies capable of being processed by the master modem. Each slave modem applies oversampling or undersampling to a transmit or receive signal. A band-pass filter corresponding to the assigned frequency band filters downstream of the oversampling or upstream of the undersampling.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device (30) which is configured so as to communicate data in a duplex mode, and is provided with first and second data terminal (A, B), one of which is always assigned to each direction of communication. SOLUTION: The first and second data terminals can be constituted during operation. As a result of this, in a first mode of operation, the first terminal (A) is constituted so as to transmit (PCM_Tx), but not to receive data, and the second terminal (B) is constituted so as to receive (PCM_Rx) but not to transmit data; whereas in a second mode of operation, the first terminal (A) is constituted so as to receive (PCM_Rx) but not to transmit data, and the second terminal (B) is constituted so as to transmit (PCM_Tx) data but so as not to receive data. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable apparatus supplied with power from a battery, such as cellular phone and personal digital assistants of 3G/EQPRS/GSM systems. SOLUTION: A DRAM comprises a 1st refreshment controller controlled by a 1st clock signal and a 2nd refreshment controller controlled by the clock signal of a frequency lower than that of the 1st clock signal and is used to synchronize the events of the GMS network. The DRAM can be applied to a mobile telephony circuit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic transponder with no autonomous power supply. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an electromagnetic transponder comprising: an oscillating circuit; a first rectifying bridge having its A.C. input terminals connected across the oscillating circuit and having its rectified output terminals connected at least to a voltage regulator in charge of providing a supply voltage; and a second rectifying bridge, of dimension smaller than that of the first rectifying bridge, having its two A.C. input terminals connected across the oscillating circuit and having at least one output terminal connected to a demodulator for demodulating data sensed by the oscillating circuit. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the risk triggered by the handling, especially of a thin wafer, formed of glass at the end of the manufacturing process of a part formed on one side of an electronic component and more specifically, by a thick or stressful treatment which produces defects in the evenness of a wafer surface. SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing the electronic component on individual substrates made of an insulating material, namely, a method that includes forming the insulating material of thickness corresponding to a final thickness which is desired for the substrate in a silicon wafer, manufacturing the electronic component, and removing the silicon from the backside of the wafer, after the parts have been manufactured. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor which is formed of a matrix of photosensitive cells, on photosensitive regions of which more light can be focused than conventional image sensors. SOLUTION: A pixel structure has the photosensitive region, a stack of insulation layers to cover the photosensitive region, and a device to focus light of the pixel on the photosensitive region. The focusing device has a first microlens 29 and a second microlens 27. The first microlens 29 is disposed between the stack layers, and substantially connects the second microlens 27 and the photosensitive region. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
