Abstract: PURPOSE: A Fuscoporia obliqua extract obtained by extracting Fuscoporia obliqua, Fuscoporia punctata or Inonotus obliquus in water and then centrifuging is provided. It has effects of increasing antioxidant activity involved in various adult diseases and inhibiting aging and reducing free radical and is thus used as a pharmaceutical composition and health supplementary foods effective for prevention and treatment of adult diseases. CONSTITUTION: Fuscoporia obliqua, Fuscoporia punctata or Inonotus obliquus is added about 1 to 1,000 times with water, extracted for 1min to 10 days while agitating and centrifuged. The precipitate is dispersed in lower alcohol 1 to 1,000 times by volume that of the precipitate by weight, centrifuged and concentrated under reduced pressure. Then, the extract is purified with the same amount of an organic solvent.
