Abstract: PURPOSE: A vegetable oil-containing detergent composition is provided to improve moisturizing performance and cleansing performance with low irritation by containing vegetable oil with high content of fatty acid without containing soap powder or synthesized surfactant. CONSTITUTION: A vegetable oil-containing detergent composition comprises vegetable oil in which 60 weight% or more of C18 or more fatty acid as an active ingredient, The vegetable oil contains 80-100 weight% of C18-20 fatty acid. The vegetable oil is manufactured through a saponification step comprising a step heating the vegetable oil to 80-120 °C, adding alkaline material, and stirring for 1-4 hours. The alkaline material is potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, or triethanolamine.
