Abstract: A radio tuning apparatus and method are provided to recognize broadcast information regardless of a change in a frequency channel with respect to THE currently outputted broadcast. A tuner(100) tunes a frequency channel of a radio broadcast. An amplifier(200) amplifies a sound signal inputted from the tuner(100) and outputs it. A microcontroller(300) controls to output a frequency channel according to radio tuning. A location information checking unit(500) recognizes a location of a receiver. A broadcast information storing unit(400) stores data about broadcast channels of each area.
