    Abstract: A food container capable of being electrically heated is provided to heat food stored in the container without using cooking devices such as a burner or a microwave by installing a heating unit composed of a thin film heater capable of instantaneously generating heat and a metal pad applying electric power evenly to the thin film heater. An electrically heated food container has a main body(110) where food is stored. A heating unit(120) is installed on a bottom surface of the main body. The heating unit has a contact terminal(129). External power is supplied through the contact terminal and generates the heat needed for heating the food. The heating unit has a thin film heater installed on a bottom surface. The self electric resistance allows the thin film heater to be instantaneously heated. A metal pad is electrically contacted with the thin film heater, and has a specific pattern for allowing external power to be uniformly applied to the thin film heater. An insulation layer is disposed below the metal pad. A conductive pattern is formed on the thin film heater, allowing the electric current to be evenly applied on the entire surface of the thin film. The thin film heat is made of a single metal, or a two component based metal composite, or a two component based metal containing metal-nitride, or a two component based metal containing metal-silicide, or a thick film conductive paste. The width of the metal pad is the same or larger than that of the thin film heater so as to evenly apply the electric power to the thin film heater. The metal pad is made of any one of Al, Au, W, Pt, Ag, Ta, Mo, or Ti.
