Abstract: A lens protecting device for a portable phone camera is provided to use a speed reduction assembly capable of increasing driving power of a motor which drives a lens cover and delivering the increased power to the lens cover, thereby using a motor which generates low-degree driving power, consequently a manufacturing cost is cut down. A base(110) has the first and second opening holes(111,112). A lens cover(120) opens/closes the first and second opening holes. A motor assembly(150) electrically generates rotative driving power for driving the lens cover. A worm gear(161) increases the rotative driving power by reducing speed of the motor assembly, and delivers the increased driving power. A magnetic body(135) controls operation of the motor assembly by sensing an opened/closed state of the lens cover. The first and second hall sensors(171,172) react upon magnetic power of the magnetic body.
