    Abstract: 본 발명은 멀티 공기조화기 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 응축액의 발생을 방지하는 냉난방 동시형 멀티 공기조화기 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
    본 발명은 적어도 하나의 실외기에 연결된 복수 실내기, 실외기와 냉난방절환유닛 사이에 연결된 고압가스관 및 저압가스관을 구비한 멀티 공기조화기의 제어방법에 있어서, 실외기의 운전모드를 확인한 후 전실 냉방운전모드인 경우에는 실외온도와 상기 저압가스관의 포화온도를 검출하고, 포화온도와 실외온도를 비교하여 저압가스관과 상기 고압가스관의 냉매의 흐름을 제어하는 동작을 수행한다.

    Abstract: An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to make pressure difference generated gradually and slowly in the case of mode conversion at an initial operation by controlling operation of a refrigerant conversion valve, thereby preventing generation of abnormal noise. An air conditioner comprises a refrigerant conversion circuit(300) connected between an outdoor unit(100) and indoor units(200a-200c) and having a heating conversion valve(301b) for supplying high pressure refrigerant to the indoor unit for heating operation and a cooling conversion valve(302b) for discharging low pressure refrigerant from the indoor unit per the indoor unit. A controller differs operation time of the heating and cooling conversion valves in response to mode conversion requested by the indoor units which are in a heating or cooling mode, thereby controlling pressure in the indoor units. In the case of heating operation request, the cooling conversion valve is closed and the heating conversion valve is opened after a set time from the closing of the cooling conversion valve. In the case of cooling operation request, the closing and opening of the valves are carried out oppositely.

An electromotive expansion valve(303) is installed at an exit of the indoor heat exchanger acting as an evaporator for controlling an amount of the refrigerant flowed into the indoor heat exchanger acting as a condenser and the compressors from the indoor heat exchanger acting as an evaporator. An outdoor air temperature sensor(108) detects a temperature of outdoor air of the outdoor unit. A control device controls openness of the electromotive expansion valve for controlling an amount of the refrigerant flowed into the cooling indoor unit from the heating indoor unit in simultaneous cooling and heating operations according to an output value of the outdoor temperature sensor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to rapidly and evenly cool an indoor space by smoothing circulation of indoor air and discharging discharged air to a distance. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a hemispheric main body case(10) having an inlet(13) and an outlet(14) formed thereon; a heat exchanger(20) installed in the main body case for heat exchange of indoor air; and a fan(30) blowing indoor air. The main body case comprises a platy rear case(11) installed on a wall of a building; and a hemispheric front case(12) coupled to a circumference of the rear case. The inlet is formed along a rear circumference of the front case adhered to the wall of the building. The outlet is formed on a convex front side of the front case. A circular clock(40) is mounted to a front center of the front case so that the outlet is circularly placed on a circumference of the clock. The heat exchanger is installed to an inner rear side of the main body case near the inlet to allow air introduced through the inlet to exchange heat. The heat exchanger is formed circularly to correspond with a shape of an inside of the front case, and is separated from an inside of the rear case to partition the inside of the front case. A circumference of the heat exchanger is fixed by fixing members(15,16) placed on the inside of the front case to support the heat exchanger.
