Abstract: An image processing apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to receive a broadcasting category change signal, gradually change a current viewing condition variable into a viewing condition variable of a broadcasting category to be changed, and display a video signal with the changed viewing condition variable, thereby providing stable viewing environment. An image processing apparatus comprises the followings: a signal processing unit(30); a signal receiving unit(10) which receives a predetermined broadcasting signal having information about a broadcasting category; a memory(60) which stores a viewing condition variable corresponding to the broadcasting category; and a control unit(70) which controls the signal processing unit(30) to gradually change the current viewing condition variable into the viewing condition variable of the broadcasting category to be changed when the broadcasting category of a broadcasting signal, received through the signal receiving part(10), is changed.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for broadcasting a music broadcasting program of a digital broadcasting system and a method for displaying the program are provided to display information corresponding to a music currently broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: Music data to be broadcasted is set(S110). Character information corresponding to the music data is recorded in an extended text table(S120). It is judged whether or not the parsed broadcasting signal includes audio data and video data.
