Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling a display device which displays plural screens are provided to control a concurrent screen flexibly and to use the concurrent screen intuitively through a concurrent screen control interface. A method for controlling a display device comprises the following several steps. If a user executes a concurrent screen function to control the display device, a remote controller's communication unit receives concurrent screen information of the display device and the touch screen displays screens on the basis of the received concurrent screen information. If there occurs a first touch input on a touch pad for controlling the display device, a correspondence relation is confirmed according to a scheme that a set indicator is displayed on a display panel of the display device and touch input information on an arbitrary point on a touch screen is received(301). Display control instructions for displaying plural screens are generated by the input values(302). The generated instructions are transmitted to the display device(303).
