Abstract: The apparatus for increasing the system processing speed of the typewriter, has a pulse-width modulation circuit for controlling the motor and reducing the load of the CPU. The apparatus comprises a CPU (1) for scanning the keyboard input signal and controlling the whole system by the input signal; a RAM (3) for storing the temporary information and a ROM (2) for memorizing the programme; an input/output buffer circuit for transmitting the control signal of the CPU (1) to a carriage motor (8a), a daisy-wheel motor (8b); a reflection detecting circuit for recognizing the kinds of the daisy wheel; a key input circuit for transmitting the order of the keyboard to the CPU; a pulse width modulation circuit (4) for converting critical step data from the CPU to the pulse; shift registors (6a-6d) for applying the driving signal to the motor; D flip-flops (5a-5d) for deciding the rotating direction of the motor; drive circuits (7a-7d) for driving the motor.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus employing a medium detecting device and an image output method thereof are provided to obtain outline shape information of a fed print medium and measure standards, skew quantity and shift quantity of the print medium based on the obtained information, thereby forming an image on an accurate location of the print medium. A medium supply unit(31,32,33) supplies a laminated print medium(30) through a transfer path. An image forming unit(10) forms an image for the supplied print medium. A medium detecting device(100) comprises a detecting unit and a determining unit. The detecting unit is disposed on the transfer path and detects outline shape information of the fed print medium. Abstract: An image forming apparatus and a developing control method of the image forming apparatus are provided to prevent a wrap jam generated by an image printed within the front end margin of a printing medium by performing printing to lower the density of an image's front end portion, thereby varying the arrangement of the image by securing an additional margin.
