PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supporting a complex automatic repeat request are provided to transmit a message which supports an established terminal and a new terminal by distinguishing the new terminal according to the type of a ranging code. CONSTITUTION: An established terminal, a new terminal A, and a new terminal B receive a broadcast message from a base station(201). The established terminal transmits a ranging request message or a band request-header(207). The new terminal A and the new terminal B selectively transmit a ranging code(209,211). The base station assigns upward link resources by transmitting HARQ_CDMA_Allocation_IE which includes HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat request) related information(213). The new terminal A and the new terminal B transmit the ranging request message or the band request-header(215,217). The base station successfully receives the ranging request message or the band request-header from the new terminal A and the new terminal B(227).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for hybrid automatic repeat request are provided to minimize overhead by supporting a terminal which supports the hybrid automatic repeat request and a terminal which does not support the hybrid automatic repeat request the same time. CONSTITUTION: A terminal transmits an arbitrary ranging code to a base station(107). The base station assigns downward link resource by transmitting CDMA_Allocation_IE and Extended_CDMA_Allocation_IE to the terminal(109,111). The terminal transmits a ranging message and a resource request message(115). The terminal supporting the HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) function selectively transmits the arbitrary ranging code(117). The base station transmits the CDMA_Allocation_IE and the Extended_CDMA_Allocation_IE to a new terminal(119,121). The new terminal transmits same IEs(127,129). The new terminal retransmits a transmitted message(131).

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for supporting multicast communication in a broadband wireless access system are provided to enable a terminal to receive a multicast message without classification of a terminal identifier. CONSTITUTION: A message transceiving unit receives an E-MBS configuration message from a base station. The message transceiving unit obtains a decoding parameter. The message transceiving unit transmits and receives a DSA-request/response message to and from the base station. The message transceiving unit sets an E-MBS service flow. An E-MBS MAP analyzer(1210) decodes an E-MBS MAP received from the base station through the set E-MBS service flow using the obtained decoding parameter.

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling sleep cycle synchronization of a sleep mode in a wireless communication system are provided to check receiving of downlink traffic when a traffic indication message is not received, thereby controlling synchronization mismatch. CONSTITUTION: An RF(Radio Frequency) processing unit(1402) transmits and receives a signal through a wireless channel. A sleep cycle management unit(1408) manages a sleep cycle of at least one terminal. If a sleep control signaling request message is received from the terminal, a synchronization information generating unit(1410) generates synchronization information. A control unit(1406) transmits a sleep control signaling response message through a modem and the RF processing unit.
Abstract:
A handover processing device in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to reduce a time until data communication is recovered after handover, and to enable a mobile station to send authentication information and uplink resource request information to a target base station during the handover. When a handover access signal is received, a target base station allocates an uplink resource for a handover access request message(201,203). A message including allocation information of the allocated uplink resource is broadcasted. The handover access request message including at least one piece of authentication information and bandwidth request information is received through the allocated uplink resource. A mobile station is authenticated by using the received authentication information. If the authentication succeeds, a response message is sent to the mobile station.

A medium access method and an apparatus thereof in a wireless communications system for preventing that the resource efficiency is degraded since the exhaustion range is generated are provided to increase the resource efficiency of the wireless communications system by allocating the resource. An MS(Mobile Station) allocated a circuit mode resources receives the resource allocation message(2011). The MS detects used resource bitmap included in the resource allocation message. The MS inspects from the detected use resources bit- map whether the circuit mode resources which is allocation released(2013). When the circuit mode resources which is allocation released exists, MS changes the location of the circuit mode resources allocated to MS in consideration of the location of the circuit mode resources which is allocation released(2015).

A service quality control apparatus of a service flow and a method thereof in a wireless telecommunications system for preventing malfunction between a base station and a terminal are provided to perform CAC of the base station according to a QoS policy when performing QCS(Quick Connection Setup), HHO(Hard handover) and FBSS(Fast Base Station Switching). A terminal inspects whether an idle timer is expired(209). If the idle timer is expired in a terminal and base station one side, the terminal is transmitted to an idle mode(211). The terminal inspects whether the QCS is requested(213). The terminal performs the base station and a QCS procedure(215). The terminal transmits the ranging code to the base station. The ranging response message and resource allocation message are transmitted to the base station with response with the terminal. The ranging request message is transmitted from the terminal through the allocated resources.

A ranging apparatus and a method in a wireless mobile communication system for reducing a time for ranging are provided to perform ranging quickly by defining new standard value in wireless mobile communications system. A base station and a code base ranging are completed. A ranging request message after code base ranging completion is transmitted to the base station(102). If a response about the ranging request message is not received, the first count value is increased by 1(108). A code base ranging is requested in case of increased first count value is less than 1. The first count value with 1 is increased by 1.

본 발명은 다중 무선통신 프로토콜을 이용한 이동통신 단말기의 서비스 전환을 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로 다중 무선통신 프로토콜을 이용한 서비스 전환방법에 있어서, 이동통신 단말기가 특정조건 하에서 근거리 무선통신 프로토콜을 지원하는 AP(Access Point)로 접속하는 과정과, 상기 AP에 접속 후, 상기 AP에서 제공되는 서비스의 종류와 상기 서비스의 파라미터를 획득하는 과정과, 상기 서비스 종류와 파라미터를 획득 후, 상기 AP가 ARS(Automatic Response System)서버에 연결하는 과정과, 상기 AP가 상기 ARS서버에 연결 후, 상기 AP가 호 전환을 상기 ARS서버로 요청하는 과정을 포함하는 것으로 상기 이동통신 단말기가 3G 음영지역에 위치하더라도 근거리 무선통신 기술 중 블루투스 기술을 이용하여 상기 3G음영지역에서도 동작이 가능하고 BT AP가 서비스 전환에 필요한 모든 동작을 하므로 사용이 편리한 이점이 있다.
