Abstract: 본 발명은 금전 등록기에 연결되는 프린터에 비휘발성 메모리를 부가하여 금전 등록기의 데이터를 저장하도록 하는 금전 등록기의 프린터를 이용한 데이터 저장 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 금전 등록기의 프린터를 이용한 데이터 저장 방법은 리드/라이트가 가능한 비휘발성 메모리를 내장한 후 금전 등록기로부터 수신된 명령에 따라 프린팅 동작을 수행하거나 상기 비휘발성 메모리에 데이터를 저장하는 동작을 수행하도록 된 프린터에 있어서, 상기 금전 등록기로부터 수신된 코드를 분석하는 단계; 상기 수신된 코드가 저장관련 명령으로서, 라이트 명령이면 수신버퍼의 내용을 저장버퍼에 저장한 후 상기 리드/라이트가 가능한 비휘발성 메모리에 저장하는 단계; 상기 수신된 코드가 저장관련 명령으로서, 리드 명령이면 상기 비휘발성 메모리에 저장된 데이터를 읽어와 저장버퍼에 저장한 후 이 저장버퍼의 데이터를 송신버퍼로 옮겨 상기 금전 등록기로 송신하는 단계; 및 상기 수신된 코드가 프린팅 명령이면 수신버퍼의 데이터를 프린팅 버퍼에 저장한 후 이 프린팅 버퍼의 내용을 프린팅하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
