Abstract: A method for managing unconfirmed events in a communication terminal is provided to enable a user to confirm information easily to be overlooked by a title list for unconfirmed events on the idle screen. If a mode to edit an unconfirmed event display function is executed according to a user's request, a control part displays an editable menu(311). If the user selects an alert window display method(313), the control part displays a list of alert windows through a display part(315). In this case, the alert window list comprises the first method to display unconfirmed events on a single window and the second method to display unconfirmed events through different alert windows item by item. If the user selects the first method(317), the control part displays a list of event items through a display part(319). Finally the user selects the check boxes of desired items among the displayed list so that unconfirmed events for the selected items can be displayed on a single alert window(321).

Abstract: A portable terminal having a crown key and a method for executing various functions using the same are provided to execute various functions conveniently according to rotation directions and angles which are generated as a crown key is physically rotated. A portable terminal comprises a case, a display part(21), a crown key(34), a control part, a call key(35), and an end key(36). The case consists of a first case(11) and a second case(13). The first case has the display part. The second case, rotatively connected with the first case, has the crown key and the control part. The display part, installed at a side of the first case, displays information having a plurality of changeable items. The crown key is rotatively installed at a side of the second case. The control part, embedded in the second case, focuses a specific one among the changeable items by locating a focus at the specific item. Also the control part performs refocusing by shifting the focus from the specific item to another one according to the rotation of the crown key. The call key and the end key are respectively installed at both sides of the crown key. The call key selects a focused item. The end key brings the present function to an end.

Abstract: A user data searching method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to be capable of setting a search range limit condition selected by a user to limit a search range of user data, and of detecting user data which includes a search word inputted by the user within the set search range, thereby conveniently, quickly, and effectively conducting a user data searching process. If a search mode setup request for random user data is received by a user(101), a controller displays a search word input window and a search environment(103).
