The invention relates to a message processing method and apparatus in a portable Internet system, in which a base station of the portable Internet system is designed to have a number of connection processors and connection controllers. This can increase the number of mobile subscriber stations that a single base station can provide a service and efficiently manage information necessary for providing a service to the mobile subscriber stations.

A method for synchronizing a broadcasting service stream in a mobile communication system is provided to synchronize a broadcasting stream serviced when the mobile communication system provides a broadcasting service, synchronize a traffic when the mobile communication system receives the same broadcasting service traffic from BTSs(Base station Transceiver Systems) adjacent to a terminal, combine the traffics received from the respective BTSs, and use the combined traffics. A PCF(Packet Control Function) checks whether a broadcasting traffic frame is received(502). If the broadcasting traffic frame is received, the PCF stores the received broadcasting frame in a buffer(504). The PCF checks whether the received broadcasting traffic frame has a successive serial number(506). If the broadcasting traffic frame has the successive serial number, the PCF calculates a transmission period from a PDSN(Packet Data Service Node) and calculates a delay value(510). The PCF checks whether the received broadcasting traffic frame exists within a delay range(512). If the received broadcasting traffic frame exists within the delay range, the PCF transmits a broadcasting traffic according to a set period(514).

PURPOSE: A broadcasting service method of a CDMA mobile communication system and a device thereof are provided to authenticate a broadcasting service by an authentication server, and to register the authenticated broadcasting service in a packet data serving node, then to set a transmission path between a base station and the node, thereby efficiently using base station resources. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal requests an authentication server to authenticate a PPP user(S100), and receives a service permission as a response to the requests(S102). When session information on broadcasting channels is received from a broadcasting server(S104), the mobile terminal transmits a BCMCS_ID and a multicast IP address to a packet data serving node(S106). When a response to the request is received(S108), the mobile terminal transmits the BCMCS_ID and the IP address to a base station(S110). The base station transmits broadcasting data. The mobile terminal receives the broadcasting data(S112).
