Abstract: A washing machine including a drain apparatus with a filter member is provided to lengthen a cleaning cycle for a filter member by constantly securing the amount of washing water to flow into a pump. A washing machine including a drain apparatus with a filter member consists of: a cistern in which washing water is put; a drain apparatus(20) discharging the washing water to the outside of the cistern; and a filter member in the filter unit(31) of the drain apparatus involving a plurality of penetration holes so as to filter foreign materials. The drain apparatus is composed of: a drainage case(21) including a filter room(21a) wherein the filter member is installed possible to detach; and a spacer(31b) positioned between the filter unit and the filter room so that the inner walls of the filter unit and the filter room are arranged at some distance from each other.

Abstract: A drain pump of a frontloading washer is provided to fasten a cover pump to a pump motor easily and prevent the cover pump from separating from the pump motor by installing plural constraint ribs on the cover pump. A drain pump of a frontloading washer comprises a pump motor(40) and a cover pump(50). The cover pump is screwed to the pump motor to prevent entering of water into the pump motor. The cover pump is fastened to the pump motor via a constraint rib. The constraint rob is composed of front and rear constraint ribs(51) formed on the front side of the cover pump, left and right constraint ribs(52) formed on the left and right sides of the cover pump, and upper and lower constraint ribs(53) formed on the upper side of the cover pump.

Abstract: A device for opening and closing a door of a washing machine is provided to shorten the length of a lead wire by installing a hook and a sensing switch at the lower part of the door adjacent to a control panel. A device for opening and closing a door of a washing machine comprises a top cover(10), an opening/closing unit, and a sensing switch(40). The top cover is mounted on a side of the washing machine, with the door installed thereon. The opening/closing unit is installed on an end of the door to lock or unlock the door. The opening/closing unit is a lever type button that has a hook(24d) at an end. Abstract: A motor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to facilitate coupling and manufacture of inner and outer stator cores by using a fixed frame, thereby improving work efficiency. A method for manufacturing a motor includes the steps of: punching a steel sheet in a shape in which a plurality of division core plates are arranged so that tooth units face and cross each other(A1); forming inner and outer stator cores by stacking, bending, and connecting the punched division core plates(A2); and coupling the inner stator core inside the outer stator core. Abstract: A temperature sensor is provided to employ an air discharge groove in a packing member inserted into a metal case so that remaining air is discharged through the air discharge groove. A temperature sensor includes a thermistor(130), a filling material(140), a metal case(100), and a packing member(110). The thermistor outputs an electrical signal according to a temperature. The filling material is filled in order to protect the thermistor. The metal case receives the thermistor and the filling material.
