Abstract: PURPOSE: An electronic device is provided to reduce the error of recognition by detecting particular directional movement. CONSTITUTION: A proximity sensor part(135) senses the left and right movement of a target existing in a second sensitive area(304) and a fourth sensitive area(308). A controller respectively turns on and off a second light-emitting unit(254) and a fourth light-emitting unit(258) according to the order of a set loop(400). The controller repetitively controls flash of the second light-emitting unit and fourth light-emitting unit through the proximity sensor part, recognizes the location of a target according to the light detected from the optical detecting part, and controls the proximity sensor part by operating only the second lighting-emitting unit and fourth lighting-emitting unit.
