Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving data in a communication system are provided to obtain the information of packet order based on the resource allocation information of packets. A method for receiving an SDU(Service Data Unit) comprises the steps of: receiving a burst from a base station; judging a sequence number of the burst; judging a sequence number of a PDU(Protocol Data Unit) included in the burst; and configuring an SDU with at least one PDU by considering the judged PDU sequence number. An SDU generating unit(101) generates an SDU, and a PDU generating unit(105) generates a PDU by dividing the SDU. An MAP generating unit(103) generates MAP information by performing scheduling of a transmitter and a receiver. A burst generating unit(107) generates a burst by including at least one generated PDU, and a burst/PDU sequence number storage(109) stores the burst and PDU sequence numbers.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for allocating resources in a wireless communication system are provided to reduce the volume of resource allocation information and increase the efficiency of downlink resources by allocating fixed-length data to a fixed region allocated to a frame. A base station confirms whether data to be transmitted to a terminal exist(301). If so, the base station calculates an MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme) level to transmit the data, based on channel information with the terminal(303). Then the base station confirms whether this is first time to allocate resources to the terminal(305). If not, the base station confirms whether a fixed region resource can be allocated to the terminal(307). If so, the base station allocate the fixed region resource to the terminal according to the calculated MCS level(309). The base station creates a resource allocation message containing fixed region resource allocation information and transmits it to the terminal(311).
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for allocating resources in multiple communication systems are provided to inform a terminal of radio resource allocation information dynamically by using an arbitrary frequency band irrespective of a frequency band provided to the terminal, thereby improving resource utilization efficiency. A resource allocating method for packet transmission through multiple systems having compatibility includes a step of confirming resource usage information for each frequency band supporting the multiple systems and determining a frequency band for resource allocation, and a step of allocating radio resources including information on the determined frequency band.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for processing bandwidth request in a multi-hop relay broadband wireless access communication system are provided to enable a relay station to report the number of terminals which transmit bandwidth request ranging code to a base station. A relay station extracts receiving signals from a bandwidth request ranging region(301). The relay station performs code demodulation by correlating the ranging code with the extracted data(303). The relay station judges whether the bandwidth request ranging code is received from the code demodulation result(305). The relay station decides the number of terminals which transmit the bandwidth request ranging code(307). The relay station reports the number of the terminals to the base station through a previously allotted feedback channel(309). The relay station verifies whether a resource allotment message responding to the bandwidth request ranging code is received from the base station(311). The base station writes information concerned with the ranging code within the received resource allotment message(313). The relay station transmits the resource allotment message to the terminal(315).
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for allocating resources of a wireless communication system are provided to enhance efficiency of forward resources in a service such as a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) service in which packets are periodically generated. A base station checks whether terminals request allocation of forward resources(401). When terminals request allocation of forward resources, the base station sets a terminal index 'n' as 1(403). The base station checks whether data transmitted to the nth terminal is periodical data(405). If the data transmitted to the nth terminal is periodical data, the base station allocates periodical resources to the corresponding terminal and generates a resource allocation message to be transmitted to the terminal(407). The base station checks whether forward resource allocation to the terminals has been completed(411). When the forward resource allocation has been completed, the base station generates MAP information and transmits the generated MAP information to the terminals(415). The base station checks whether there is any terminal whose allocated resources are periodical resources(417). If there is such terminal, the base station transmits forward data to the terminal by using slots which have been allocated to the terminal(419).
