    Abstract: A fuel cell driving type refrigerator is provided to supply thermal energy generated by a fuel cell to a storing chamber in a thawing mode, thereby increasing a temperature of the storing chamber without any external power supply and re-using wasted thermal energy. A fuel cell driving type refrigerator includes a fuel cell(20) generating electrical energy and thermal energy via chemical reaction, a main body(30) having at least one storing chamber(31,33,35) for keeping food, and a mechanical chamber(39) driven by the electrical energy of the fuel cell to supply chilled air into the storing chamber. A supply part(40) supplies the thermal energy to the storing chamber via a pipe(41) in a thawing mode to control a temperature of the storing chamber, sensed by a heat sensing part(37). The supply part has a path converting valve(43) for opening or closing the pipe or controlling an opening degree of the pipe to convert a thermal energy supply path. A control part(50) controls an amount of the thermal energy generated by the fuel cell and an amount of the thermal energy supplied to the storing chamber according to the measured temperature and an operation mode of the main body.
