Abstract:
PURPOSE: A polymer implant and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, which can enhance bio-compatibility of a polymer containing polyaryl ether ketone. CONSTITUTION: A polymer implant coated with biocompatible metal comprises: a body portion including a polymer; and a coating film formed in the surface of body portion. The coating film is made of metal material with better bio-compatibility than the body portion of the polymer. Polyaryl ether ketone is used as the polymer.

PURPOSE: A porous titanium scaffold for living body and a production method thereof are provided, which can provide pores capable of differentiation and the growth of the osseous tissue. CONSTITUTION: A production method of porous titanium scaffold for living body comprises: a step of preparing slurry by mixing titanium hydride, freezing media, and dispersing agent at the freezing temperature of the freezing media or more; a step of forming freeze casting by pouring slurry into the mold and freeze casting at the temperature of the freezing media or less; a step of forming the molding product having porosity by removing the freezing media; and a step of heating at the fixed speed; and a step of heat-treating.

PURPOSE: A composite spinal implant is provided to verify the bone healing condition of implant through a resin material cage in an X-ray inspection after surgery. CONSTITUTION: A composite spinal implant(100) comprises a cage(110) and a metal layer(130). The case of a resin material has a hollow unit(111). The metal layer of a porous metal material is attached to the outside of the cage. The cage comprises a first opening(112) and a second opening(113). The first opening connects the hollow unit to outside. The second opening in the opposite side of the first opening connects the hollow unit to outside.
