Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for simultaneously preparing 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propandiol from glycerol using recombinant E.coli is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for simultaneously preparing 3-hydroxypropionic acid and 1,3-propandiol is performed by culturing recombinant E.coli in a medium containing enough glycerol and glucose. The recombinant E.coli is obtained by transforming to expresses an enzyme which converts 3-hydroxypropion aldehyde to 3-hydroxypropionic acid.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for preparing GDP-fucose using recombinant E.coli is provided to overexpress an enzyme mediating GDP-fucose synthesis and to enhance yield of GDP-fucose. CONSTITUTION: A GDP-fucose is produced by culturing a recombinant E.coli. The recombinant E.coli overexpresses GDP-D-mannose-4,6-dehydratase, GDP-4-keto-6-deoxymannose 3,5-epimerase-4-reductase phosphomannomutase, mannose-1-phosphate guanyltransferase, and glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase. The overexpression is controlled by induction promoter.
