Abstract: PURPOSE: A downflow sand filter unit for wastewater treatment is provided, which can wash filter media continuously by downflow through filter media recycling pipe and filter media washing pipe of zig zag type by pneumatic conveying the media. The media recycling pipe is easy to install and maintenance. CONSTITUTION: In a conically bottomed cylindrical housing(1) having an inlet(7) connected to a vertical wastewater flow guide pipe(8) as a tee type at the middle part, a filter media receiving part(3) packaged with filter media(2) is stationed at the bottom, and a filter media washing part(4) is stationed at the top. A filter media redistributor(5) of inverse cone type is set at the top of the vertical wastewater flow guide pipe(8), and a filter media recycling pipe(6) is installed from the bottom of the cylindrical housing(1) to the top of the cylindrical housing(1), to the recycling pipe(6), and a compressed air feeding line(11) is connected to inject air to blow up filter media. The filter media washing pipe(14) of zig zag type is installed at the top of the filter media redistributor(5) thus guiding filter media to flow to the filter media receiving part(3) through a passage, a slot between the inner wall of the cylindrical housing(1) and the edge of the filter media redistributor(5). Water accompanying with the filter media is filtered through the filter(9) and discharged through discharge line(10).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for processing perfluorinated compounds(PFC) using an oxygen incubating method is provided to eliminate the PFC, by using oxygen-incubated air and double-pipe type helical flame, and by purifying exhausted gas through an exhaust gas processing apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A system for processing perfluorinated compounds(PFC) using an oxygen incubating method comprises an oxygen incubating supply apparatus(11), a premixing apparatus(13), a combustion chamber(15), an inner combustion chamber(16) and an exhaust gas processing apparatus. The oxygen-incubated separating and supplying apparatus generates high density oxygen-incubated air. The premixing apparatus respectively premixes fuel with air and fuel with PFC. The combustion chamber forms helical flame, composed of a double-pipe type. A material of a metal net or honeycomb type is inserted into the inner combustion chamber which increases a flame temperature and radiant heat. The exhaust gas processing apparatus wet-processes exhausted gas after processing a combustion of the PFC.
