Abstract: PURPOSE: A portable device for presentation and control method thereof are provided to change a key value of a function key into the other key value without setting up an additional key value conversion program to a host device. CONSTITUTION: A receiving device(20) receives a key signal about a specific key button of a remote controller(10). The receiving device generates a key code corresponding to the key signal. The receiving device determines whether change information about the key code is existed. The receiving device replaces the key code into the key code which is changed according to change information. The receiving device transfers the changed key code to the host device.
