PURPOSE: A compound for an organic photoelectric device is provided to manufacture an organic light emitting diode which has excellent electrochemical and thermal stability and having excellent lifetime performance, and to have high luminous efficiency even at a driving voltage. CONSTITUTION: A compound for an organic photoelectric device is represented by chemical formula 1 and has triplet excitation energy (T1) of 2.0 eV or more. An organic light emitting diode (100) has a positive electrode (120), a negative electrode (110), and one or more organic thin film layers (105) inserted into the positive electrode and the negative electrode. At least one layer of the organic thin film layer includes the compound. The organic thin film layer is selected from a light-emitting layer (130), a hole transport layer, an electron transport layer, an electron injection layer, a hole blocking layer, and combinations thereof.
