    Abstract: PURPOSE: A producing method of a high density boron carbide sintered body, and the high density boron carbide sintered body are provided to secure the excellent mechanical property and the hardness of the boron carbide sintered body. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a high density boron carbide sintered body comprises the following steps: mixing boron carbide powder and a solvent in a volume ratio of 1:1~10, and applying ultrasonic waves for peeling off an oxide layer from the surface of the boron carbide powder; pressurizing the boron carbide powder for molding a molded body; exhausting impurity gas from a furnace by operating a pump; firstly increasing the temperature of the furnace for volatilizing boric oxides; secondly increasing the temperature of the furnace for sintering; pressurizing the molded body, and sintering boron carbide; and cooling the furnace.
