Abstract:
A system and a method for checking the position of a vehicle in a parking place are provided to enable a driver to easily check the parking position of own vehicle without a parking position input process. In a system for checking the position of a vehicle in a parking place, a position information provision server(20) comprises at least one signal relay unit(21) and a position signal processing unit(22). Each signal relay unit periodically receives a first vehicle ID(Identification) signal from a position signal transmitter(10) installed in the vehicle, receives a parking position checking request signal from a parking position checking terminal device(30), and transmits information about the terminal device and the receiving time of the first vehicle ID signal matching to a second vehicle ID signal. The position signal processing unit makes information about the parking place into a database, calculates the parking position of the vehicle on the basis of the receiving time information of the first vehicle ID signal transmitted from each signal relay unit, and then transmits the parking information based on the parking place information, to the parking position checking terminal device.

A key input device using a direction selection input unit, a method thereof, and a character input method using the device are provided to process inputted key values by a key input method in accordance with the character input method which is employed in itself, and then to provide the processed results to a user. A direction selection input unit(10) inputs a selection signal and a direction signal from a user. A storage unit(30) stores key values distinguished by time and frequency of the selection signal and the direction signal. An action detection decider(20) inquires about the key values distinguished by the time and frequency of the selection signal and the direction signal, from the storage unit(30).
Abstract:
A method for operating an RFID reader is provided to enable an RFID chip to modify a carrier wave received from the RFID reader based on chip ID information and transmit the modified carrier wave to the RFID reader by installing a solar cell, which converts light received from the RFID reader into power needed for modifying the carrier wave, to the RFID tag. A light source(11) irradiates the light to the RFID tag. A reader(13) transmits the carrier wave including the chip ID information while enabling the light source to irradiate the light, and reads and identifies the chip ID information by decoding the modified carrier wave received from the RFID chip(20). A sensor(12) detects an article attached with the RFID chip. The RFID reader(10) transmits the carrier wave to the RFID tag by turning on the light source until the modified carrier wave is received from the RFID chip. The RFID tag includes the solar cell(21) for converting the light received from the light source of the RFID reader into the power needed for modifying the carrier wave with the chip ID information.
