PURPOSE: A fabric structure optical communication interface apparatus and system thereof are provided to exchange data for an information apparatus by including a fabric structure which is easily fused into fabrics. CONSTITUTION: An input path receives optical signals. A cut opening unit(102) collects or diffuses the optical signal using the input path. The cut opening unit is formed in the optical fiber by enabling a cutting unit to cut an opening unit. When the optical signals are inputted through the input path of the optical fiber, the cut opening unit diffuses the optical signals within the optical fiber using a total reflection principle.

PURPOSE: Apparatus and method for providing data exchange service are provided to enable users to exchange data using an interface locating an information exchange object terminal on a specific location on a display screen. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for providing data exchange service comprises the following: a screen projecting unit(110) displaying a screen for providing the data exchange service; an information device detecting unit(120) determining whether at lease more than one secondary information device(190) is located on the screen; and an optical communication direction controller(130) controlling the direction of the optical communication on a first information device(180) for exchanging data with the secondary information device.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A touchpad and a method for sensing touch position are provided to exactly detect a touch position by grouping a conduction plate and detecting a touch point based on the center point of the group. CONSTITUTION: A signal generator(120) generates electricity of a predetermined pattern. Conduction plates(220) are arranged having a predetermined gap in order not to be touched with each other. Electric signal is applied to the conduction plates by the touch of a user(140). A signal detection unit(300) detects the contact position of the conduction plate based on the touch point information and the strength of the electric signal.

PURPOSE: A fabric based magnetic field interface garment and a portable terminal in a clothes type computing system are provided to be conveniently attached/detached with a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal is accepted in a receiving unit(110). A coil unit of a portable terminal and a coil unit which performs non-contactless magnetic communication are formed at a location facing a coil unit of a portable terminal in an accepting unit. The coil unit has a first audio signal receiving coil and a second audio signal receiving coil. The second audio signal receiving coil receives an R channel audio signal through a inducing method from a coil unit of the portable terminal.

PURPOSE: A remote control apparatus using a menu markup language is provided to design a menu using a menu markup language, thereby easily designing menus which can be applied to electronic devices. CONSTITUTION: A menu map information storage unit(10) realizes a virtual menu map for controlling an electronic device. The menu map information storage unit stores menu map information defined by a menu markup language. A menu map realizing unit(40) realizes the virtual menu map according to the stored menu map information. The menu map realizing unit extracts control information from the menu map information.

PURPOSE: A method for downloading a program of a bootloader for a UIA(Universal Information Appliance) system and supporting NFS(Network File System) development environment is provided to offer the better download function than a serial port by using network. CONSTITUTION: A UIA bootloader initializes a system(S10) and detects whether a CS89001 chip is provided and operated in a development board of a UIA system development board(S11). The UIA bootloader sets an MAC(Media Access Control) address of the CS8900A of the development board of the UIA system, a name of a program to be downloaded and a server directory by using an environment setup command(S12). The UIA bootloader performs a command for driving a BOOTP to be allocated an IP address from a DHCP(Dynamic Host configuration Protocol) server(S13). The UIA bootloader downloads a user's desired program to a memory of the UIA system through network from the server(S14) and stores it in a designated flash memory region(S15).

PURPOSE: A software keyboard and a software key-in method are provided to discriminate frequently used keys from non-frequently used keys, to always display the frequently used keys, and to display the remaining keys whenever necessary according to their purpose. CONSTITUTION: The keyboard comprises a keyword selection group(110), an indispensable key selection group(120), a number selection group(130), and two trays(140, 150). The keyword selection group(110) includes a Hangul basis selection key(111), an alphabet basis key(112), a Hangul/alphabet key(113) and a user definition selection key(114). The keyboard can be combined according to a user inclination, and the combined keyboard is displayed with the two trays(140, 150).
