Abstract: The present invention a method for managing a peer-to-peer (P2P) network. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an overlay management server, which controls the distribution of content on the P2P network which consists of at least one peer, receives distribution control information from a content provider server for generating the distribution control information in order to control the distribution of the content and controls the operation of the one peer on the P2P network on the basis of the received distribution control information. Abstract: PURPOSE: A multimedia content processing apparatus and multimedia content transmission and reception method thereof are provided to minimize influence on a multimedia streaming service by analyzing messages related to multimedia content.
