    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for managing a multi-association in an SCTP(Stream Control Transmission Protocol) is provided to enable many systems to transmit data using an SCTP by registering address information and association identifications in an address information cache and using them for association setup, update and release. CONSTITUTION: An SCTP protocol handling process monitors a received signal(S301), and confirms the type of the received signal(S302). If the received signal is a control signal and the control signal is an SCTP initialization message(S303), the SCTP protocol handling process executes SCTP initialization process(S304). In case that the received signal is an association message and the association message is an association setup message from an upper layer protocol(S305), the SCTP protocol handling process searches an address information cache for association information(S306). If the address of the association message has not been registered(S307), the SCTP protocol handling process registers the address information of the association message in the address information cache(S308) and sets up the association with an adjacent SCTP node(S309).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for processing label distribution protocol message for setting of authenticated label switched path in a multi-protocol label switching network is provided to set the authenticated label switched path between two terminal ends. CONSTITUTION: The method for processing label distribution protocol message includes following steps. When received message is hello message, it is determined whether security key is included within the hello message. When security key is included within the hello message, an adjacency table is formed. The received message is a label distribution protocol request/mapping message, a message authenticated code is calculated using a self password and the calculated code is compared with the code included within the received message. The calculated code is matched with the code included within the received message, the received message is decoded and the authenticated label switched path is set.
