Abstract: PURPOSE: A cancelable face recognition apparatus using a permutation matrix having an inverse matrix and a method thereof are provided to remove the necessity of generating a permutation matrix particularly designed by supplementing the technical contents of a patent application. CONSTITUTION: A cancelable face recognition apparatus using a permutation matrix having an inverse matrix comprises an input unit(10), an image substitution unit(20), a database(30), and a central processing unit(40). Through the input unit, the face image and password of a user are inputted. The image substitution unit generates the permutation matrix having the inverse matrix from the password, and a substituted image by using the permutation matrix and face image.

Abstract: An image based CAPTCHA(Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computer And Human Apart) providing method and a recording medium recording a program for performing the same are provided to divide an image into plural area images, thereby preventing deterioration of a frame rate even in a display panel of a large screen and extending a range of image transformation. If a web browser request is received from a user client, two or more images are randomly selected and stored according to sessions(S100,S110). An ID of a session is provided together with the web page to the user client(S150). If a test image request corresponding to the ID of the session is received from the user client, the two or more images are mixed to generate a test image(S160). The generated test image is transmitted to the user client(S180). One or more first identification information inputted by a user with respect to the test image are received from the user client(S210). The one or more first identification information are compared with one or more second identification information included in meta information of the test image(S230).
