본 발명은 인터넷 접속메세지 생성시 통신단말기에서 IP패킷을 생성할 수 있도록 함으로써 셋톱박스의 부하를 줄이면서 통신가입자에게 인터넷 데이터 또는 멀티미디어 데이터를 고속으로 서비스할 수 있도록 된 멀티미디어 위성통신 시스템에 관한 것으로, 위성통신 시스템을 이용하여 인터넷이나 멀티미디어 서버와 통신가입자간의 통신링크를 제공하도록 된 멀티미디어 위성통신 시스템에 있어서; 인터넷 접속을 위한 라우터와, 송신요구되는 데이터를 근거로 TS패킷을 생성 및 변조하는 송신데이터처리부단, 셋톱박스로부터 수신된 수신신호를 주파수복조 및 CDMA 복조하여 이더넷 프레임으로 변환처리하는 수신데이터처리수단, 통신가입자에 대한 정보와 각종 데이터가 저장되는 데이터 베이스 및, 중심국과 셋톱박스간의 호접속을 제어하는 중심국프로세서를 구비하는 중심국과; 중심국으로부터의 수신신호로부터 원하는 패킷데이터를 복원하는 수신데이터처리부와, 통신단말기 접속을 위한 인터페이스 카드, 중심국에 대해 송출할 데이터를 CDMA변조 및 주파수변조하여 중간주파수로 변환하는 송신데이터처리부 및, 상기 수신데이터처리부로부터 인가되는 패킷데이터를 근거로 셋톱박스에 대한 제어처리와 통신단말기와의 트래픽처리를 실행함과 더불어 리턴링크를 구성 제어하는 단말국프로세서를 구비하는 단말국; 단말국을 인터페이스하기 위한 STB 인터페이스와, STB 인터페이스에서 입력되는 TCP/IP 포맷의 패킷을 PC 프로세서로 출력함과 더불어 PC 프로세서에서 입력되는 데이터를 TCP/IP 포맷으로 변환하여 출력하는 TCP/IP 기능부, 데이터 입출력장치, 인터넷 접속제어를 수행하는 PC 프로세서를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.

본 발명은 공공 및 사설 인터넷 주소를 동시에 수용하기 위한 위성 인터넷 접속 중심국의 구조 및 그 운용 방법에 관한 것이다. 인터넷을 사용하고자 하는 호스트의 급속한 증가로 인한 인터넷 주소의 고갈 현상때문에 인터넷 접속 서비스를 제공하는 사업자는 적은 수의 공공 인터넷 주소를 할당받아 동적으로 인터넷을 요구하는 사용자에게 할당하는 방식을 사용하고 있으나, 할당받은 공공 인터넷 주소의 갯수에 따라 접속 가능한 사용자의 수에 제약을 가져온다. 다른 방안으로 사설 인터넷 주소를 사용하여, 내부에서는 사설 인터넷 주소를 사용하고 인터넷을 접속할 때 가용한 공공 인터넷 주소로 변환하여 서비스를 제공하지만 사설 인터넷 주소를 사용하는 가입자는 서비스에 많은 제약을 갖는다. 본 발명에 따른 위성 인터넷 접속 중심국은 기존 시스템들의 변경없이 사설 인터넷 주소와 공공 인터넷 주소를 모두 수용하므로써 사용자들에게 공공 인터넷 주소나 사설 인터넷 주소를 할당하여 다양한 형태의 서비스를 제공하여 줄 수 있는 네트워크 구성을 가능하게 한다.

PURPOSE: An integrated broadcasting/communication system capable of internet access in an MPEG-2 digital broadcasting network and method for controlling the connection thereof are provided to configure a point-to-point communication channel through the broadcasting network, and to set up a communication channel capable of bidirectional communication by utilizing a return channel. CONSTITUTION: If a user selects an internet application program of a station(S801), the station requests connection to a service gateway(S802). The service gateway checks a subscriber(S803). If subscriber authentification is successful, the station allocates a network resource capable of being used as a transmitting/receiving channel(S804). Whether the allocation of the network resource is available is checked(S805). If the allocation is unavailable, the failure of connection is notified to the station(S806). The station announces the failure of connection to the user(S807). If the allocation is available, a return channel receiving unit of the service gateway is initialized to enable receiving(S808). The success of connection is notified to the station(S809). The station initializes the return channel(S810), and initializes a receiving channel through a broadcasting network(S811). The station announces the success of connection to the user(S812). Accordingly, the user communicates with hosts on the internet through the application program(S813). If the user stops the application program for disconnection(S814), the station requests disconnection to the service gateway(S815). The service gateway releases resources related to broadcasting channels(S816), and releases the return channel receiving unit(S817), then notifies the station of the disconnection(S818). The station releases a transmitting channel(S819), and releases a receiving broadcasting channel(S820), then notifies the user of the completion of disconnection(S821).

본 발명은 위성 인터넷망에서 단방향 위성 채널을 이용하여 소프트웨어를 단말국으로 제공하는 위성 채널을 이용한 소프트웨어 배포시스템과 배포방법에 관한 것이다. 이러한 본 발명의 소프트웨어 배포시스템은, 중심국은, 전송하고자 하는 소프트웨어를 패킷으로 분할하고, 분할된 패킷들을 IP(Internet Protocol) 데이터그램(datagram) 형태로 재구성하는 소프트웨어 전송 서버와, 상기 소프트웨어 전송 서버로부터 수신된 패킷들을 MPEG-2 트랜스포트 패킷으로 재구성하는 전송부를 포함하고, 단말국은, 상기 전송부로부터 수신된 MPEG-2 트랜스포트 패킷을 IP(Internet Protocol) 데이터그램으로 재구성하는 셋톱박스와, 상기 셋톱박스로부터 수신된 IP 데이터그램을 패킷으로 재구성한 후 에러 유무를 판단하고, 수신된 패킷들을 소프트웨어로 재구성하는 개인용 컴퓨터를 포함한다.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for securing transmission data in a multi satellite communication system, are provided to allocate service information by handshaking thorough an inherent TID(Terminal IDentifier) for handshaking, and to transmit data through the information, so as to maintain the security of the transmission data. CONSTITUTION: A set top box(30) receives access data, indicating CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) code data and channel frequency data, delivered from a central station. A processor(43) stores the received CDMA code data and channel frequency data in a data memory(41). If a call connection request for the Internet is inputted from a PC(5), the processor(43) reads a TID for handshaking from a connecting TID storage unit(42), to generate a predetermined handshaking control message on the basis of subscriber information. The processor(43) allocates the CDMA code data and the channel frequency data stored in the data memory(41) to a CDMA channel transmission unit(37) and an IF(Intermediate Frequency) generation unit(39), to deliver the generated handshaking control message to the central station. If a control message is delivered from the central station, the processor(43) sets the received control message, indicating a control PID(Personal IDentifier) and a traffic PID, in a demultiplexer(34) and transmits the allocated CDMA code data and channel frequency data to the CDMA channel transmission unit(37) and the IF generation unit(39), to register new service information.

PURPOSE: A method and a device for securing/maintaining transmission data of a multimedia satellite communication system are provided to maintain the security of data transmitted in an initialization process for connecting a communication terminal with the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) code and channel frequency data received from a central station are stored in a data memory(41), and a common PID(Process IDentifier) is stored in a demultiplexer(34). A call connection request with the Internet is received from a communication terminal. Predetermined terminal address data of a set top box, subscriber information inputted from the communication terminal and the common PID are read, to generate a predetermined information message. A control message is generated, and the CDMA code data and the channel frequency data are allocated to be delivered to the central station. A traffic PID is generated using a controlling PID received from the central station and predetermined terminal address data. The controlling PID, channel frequency, CDMA code and the traffic PID are reset for registration.

PURPOSE: A service gate, a user terminal system, an operating method of a common signal channel, and an allotting method of an individual transmission channel are provided to offer a stable interactive communication service by a low cost by forming a point to point communication channel and using a non-fixing terminal identifier operation method. CONSTITUTION: A communication network interface block converts a user data packet into a protocol which a communication network uses. An information server interface block converts a user data packet into a protocol which an information server uses. A transmission control block analyze a user packet address and inserts a packet into a logical link. A router block sends a user data packet to a multimedia information server and sends a data packet from the multimedia information server to a user terminal. An interactive channel interface block receives all signal from the user terminal and separates a control signal and a user data from the received all signal. A user certification block judges whether a user of the user terminal is an allowed user. A connection control block receives information from the interactive channel interface block and the user certification block. A broadcasting network interface block outputs a transmission stream packet to a broadcasting transmitter.

PURPOSE: A network synchronous device of a multimedia satellite communication system having a satellite broadcasting supplying function is provided to make a central station deliver PCR(Program Clock Reference) data, and to make each set top box decide an inserting number of a broadcasting TS packet on the basis of an OPCR(Original Program Clock Reference) and the PCR data, to compensate a network synchronization. CONSTITUTION: A central station comprises as follows. A frequency generator(17) generates predetermined frequency signals. A PCR(Program Clock Reference) generator(18) counts the frequency signals and outputs counted value data. A TS packet generator(16) generates transmission data relating to set top boxes as a TS packet to output the transmission data, and registers the counted value data in the TS packet as a PCR value and an OPCR(Original Program Clock Reference) value, when the number of transmission times of the TS packet becomes a predetermined value. A multiplexer(20) delivers a TS packet of a broadcasting signal relating to the TS packet outputted from the TS packet generator(16), and adds a delay time by the inserted broadcasting signal to the PCR value, then registers a result value in the TS packet as a new PCR value. Each set top box comprises as follows. A demultiplexer receives the TS packet. A transmission timing generator generates a transmission timing signal of data for being transmitted to the central station. A transmission frame generator outputs a data frame for being transmitted to the central station. A controller calculates an inserting number of a broadcasting TS packet on the basis of the PCR value and the OPCR value of the received TS packet, and controls the transmission timing generator according to a calculated result.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for releasing communication resources using a synchronous message in the multimedia satellite communication system is provided to withdraw communication resources, based on the detection of a synchronous message received in process of communication. CONSTITUTION: If a traffic data is received from a set top box through an IP switch(ST1), a central station control processor drives a timer and counts synchronous message receiving setup time(ST2). The central station control processor confirms whether a synchronous message is received, counting the synchronous message receiving setup time(ST3-ST4). In case that the synchronous message is not received within the setup time, the central station control processor increases a counter counting value as much as '1'(ST7) and confirms whether the counting value of the counter reaches a required frequency(ST8). If the synchronous message is not received more than the required frequency, the central station control processor withdraws communication resources assigned for the set top box(ST9).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A system and a method for operating a multi cast service by using a satellite channel are provided to supply multi cast service of interactive or simplex to a terminal station by using the satellite channel in a satellite internet network. CONSTITUTION: An operator forms a web page in a managing system of multi cast service for processing the join/release of multi cast service for storing a multi cast client program. Then, the operator allots multi cast service information and program identifier/table identifier and program number needed to transfer the multi cast service information to a source managing system. Then, the source managing system transfers multi cast service register information to a transferring unit for the transferring unit to store the multi cast service transferring information. Moreover, the source managing system transfers the multi cast service register information to each terminal station. Therefore, the register of new multi cast service is completed.
