Abstract:
There is provided an article a binder resin layer comprising an aliphatic polyurethane polymer comprising a plurality of soft segments, and a plurality of hard segments, where the soft segments comprise poly(alkoxy) polyol, and where the poly(alkoxy) polyol is essentially free of crosslmker; and a plurality of microspheres partially embedded and adhered to a first major surface of the binder resin layer, wherein the specific chemical identities and relative amounts of the segments and moieties of the aliphatic polyurethane polymer are sufficient to impart a glass transition temperature of 10°C or less in the article and a storage modulus in the article that changes less than 15 MPa from 25°C to 175°C.
Abstract:
There is provided cured coating compositions derived from a one-part, moisture curable composition comprising (a) a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one end group derived from an alkoxy silane, and (b) a plasticizer selected from at least one of linear or branched alkyl benzoate having between 8 and 14 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain, and combinations thereof; where the cured coating composition passes ASTM D-1970. There are also provided articles and films made using and methods for using these cured coating compositions.
Abstract:
There is provided an adhesive composition comprising at least 50 wt % of an aqueous dispersion of an amorphous polyurethane having a Tg below 25° C.; and a water dispersible cross-linker, where the adhesive composition has a peel retention of greater than or equal to 5% according to the Water/IPA Exposure Test.
Abstract:
A curable composition includes: a) at least one aliphatic polyisocyanate; b) at least one aliphatic polyamine; and c) from 8 to 17 percent by weight of at least one liquid compound, based on the total weight of components a), b) and c) combined. Each liquid compound is independently represented by the formula (I): wherein Z represents an n valent organic group, and n represents an integer ≥ 1. Methods of coating the curable coating on a substrate and composite articles are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Copolymers of poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) and polydiorganosiloxanes, compositions comprising the same, and articles comprising the copolymers, compositions, or both.
Abstract:
There is provided an article having a compliant article where the compliant article comprises an polymer layer and a first layer disposed along a first major surface of the polymer layer; and a plurality of microspheres partially embedded and adhered to a major surface of the first layer opposite the surface that is disposed along the first major surface of the polymer layer, wherein the article has a compression modulus of less than or equal to 0.5 MPa. There is also provided an article having a compliant article where the compliant article comprises a polymer layer; and a plurality of microspheres partially embedded and adhered to a major surface of the compliant article, where the article has a compression modulus of less than or equal to 0.5 MPa, and further where the article is a decorative article.
