Abstract: While an electronic device is connected to a first external device, display a first user interface including a first affordance. Detect an input selecting the first affordance. In response to detecting the input corresponding to selection of the first affordance, initiate a process to provide audio data concurrently with the first external device and a second external device different from the first external device. After initiating the process to provide audio data concurrently to the first external device and a second external device, detect an indication that a physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies a proximity condition. In response to detecting the indication that the physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies the proximity condition, display a second user interface indicating that the physical proximity between the electronic device and the second external device satisfies the proximity condition.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces and techniques for managing audio exposure using a computer system (e.g., an electronic device). In accordance with some embodiments, the electronic device displays a graphical indication of a noise exposure level over a first period of time with an area of the graphical indication that is colored to represent the noise exposure level, the color of the area transitioning from a first color to a second color when the noise exposure level exceeds a first threshold. In accordance with some embodiments, the electronic device displays noise exposure levels attributable to a first output device type and a second output device type and, in response to selecting a filtering affordance, visually distinguishes a set of noise exposure levels attributable to the second output device type.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface of an application. The device detects a first portion of an input including a contact on the touch-sensitive surface, and then detects a second portion of the input including movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface. The device displays, during the movement, application views including an application view that corresponds to the user interface of the application and another application view that corresponds to a different user interface of a different application. The device then detects a third portion of the input, including a liftoff of the contact from the touch-sensitive surface. In response, the device, upon determining that application-switcher-display criteria are met, displays an application-switcher user interface, and upon determining that home-display criteria are met, the device displays a home screen user interface that includes application launch icons.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods to communicate audio data from either a primary wireless device or a secondary wireless device to at least one earbud of a pair of wireless earbuds that is simultaneously communicatively coupled to both the primary wireless device and to the secondary wireless device are disclosed. The primary wireless device establishes a first connection with at least one wireless ear bud; generates a set of link keys for facilitating pairing the secondary wireless device with the at least one wireless ear bud; and shares the set of link keys with the secondary wireless device and the at least one wireless ear bud, wherein the secondary wireless device can subsequently use the set of link keys to establish a second connection with the at least one wireless ear bud. In response to a request from the secondary wireless device to transmit audio data to the at least one earbud, the primary wireless device, which is communicating audio data to the at least one earbud, determines whether to authorize audio data transmission from the secondary wireless device based at least in part on an audio status of the primary wireless device and a set of predetermined arbitration criteria that prioritizes among applications and operating system processes that generate the audio data.
