Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, one or more first sensors to detect proximity of an input object above the touch-sensitive surface and one or more second sensors to detect intensity of contact of the input object with the touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface object at a first location, and detects selection of the user interface object at the first location on the display. While the user interface object is selected, the device detects lateral movement of the input object over the touch-sensitive surface while the input object meets hover criteria. In response, the device moves the selected user interface object in accordance with the lateral movement. While moving the selected user interface object, the device dynamically varies a first visual characteristic of the selected user interface object in accordance with a current hover proximity parameter of the input object.

Abstract: The present application is related to a computer for providing output to a user. The computer includes a processor and an input device in communication with the processor. The input device includes a feedback surface and at least one sensor in communication with the feedback surface, the at least one sensor configured to detect a user input to the feedback surface. The processor varies a down-stroke threshold based on a first factor and varies an up-stroke threshold based on a second factor. The down-stroke threshold determines a first output of the computing device, the up-stroke threshold determines a second output of the computing device, and at least one of the first factor or the second factor are determined based on the user input.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for dynamically updating a touch-sensitive secondary display. An example method includes receiving a request to open an application and, in response, (i) displaying, on a primary display, a plurality of user interface (UI) objects associated with the application, the plurality including a first UI object displayed with associated content and other UI objects displayed without associated content; and (ii) displaying, on the touch-sensitive secondary display, a set of affordances representing the plurality of UI objects. The method also includes: detecting, via the touch-sensitive secondary display, a swipe gesture in a direction from a first affordance and towards a second affordance, the first affordance representing the first UI object and the second affordance represents a distinct second UI object. In response to detecting the swipe gesture, the method includes: updating the primary display to display associated content for the second UI object.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a first display portion, a second display portion, and a hinge connecting the first display portion to the second display portion. Abstract: An electronic device with a display and sensor(s) to detect location of an input object displays a first user interface object. The device detects an input object at a first hover location that meets first hover proximity criteria with respect to the first user interface object. After detecting the input object at the first hover location, the device detects movement of the input object away from the first hover location. In response to detecting movement of the input object away from the first hover location: in accordance with a determination that the input object meets first augmented hover proximity criteria, the device performs a first operation associated with the movement of the input object; and in accordance with a determination that the input object does not meet the first augmented hover proximity criteria, the device forgoes performing the first operation.
