Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor. The processor is configured to receive, from a network and via the transceiver, a configuration for a multiple layer physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission using more than one codeword. The processor is also configured to transmit, via the transceiver and in accordance with the configuration for the multiple layer PUSCH transmission that uses more than one codeword, the multiple layer PUSCH transmission. The multiple layer PUSCH transmission is transmitted on at least a first layer of the multiple layers using a first codeword of the more than one codeword, and on at least a second layer of the multiple layers using a second codeword of the more than one codeword.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using clear channel assessment (CCA) on a channel prior to transmitting the channel are disclosed. A wireless transmission system may perform omnidirectional CCA using a CCA power threshold that is calculated based on a number of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) transmitted by the wireless transmission system per SSB burst or per synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) window, or on a number of transmit (Tx) antennas used. A wireless transmission system may perform directional CCA on one or more Rx beams that correspond to one or more intended Tx beams using CCA power thresholds calculated based on an equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) of the one or more intended Tx beams to determine directional availability of the channel. A wireless transmission system may determine a CCA power threshold based on a scaling between an actual CCA bandwidth and a nominal CCA bandwidth.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for Wake up signal monitoring in a radio resource control connected (RRC) mode. An example method can include a user equipment (UE) determining capability information associated with wake-up signal (WUS) monitoring, the capability information to include an indication that the UE supports WUS monitoring in a radio resource control (RRC) connected mode. The UE can transmit, to a base station, an indication of the capability. The UE can perform, while in a sleep state in which transmitting and receiving by a main radio is suspended, WUS monitoring to detect a trigger. The UE can transition from the sleep state to the awake state based on the trigger. The UE can monitor for a downlink (DL) transmission in the awake state.
