    Abstract: Aspects are described for a user equipment (UE) comprising a transceiver configured to enable wireless communication with a base station and a second UE, and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured to determine one or more channel state information (CSI) reporting elements out of a set of CSI reporting elements. The processor is further configured to generate a MAC control element (MAC-CE) message. The MAC-CE message comprises an indicator that indicates a second MAC-CE message and a CSI report. The CSI report comprises the one or more CSI reporting elements. The processor is further configured to transmit, using the transceiver, the MAC-CE message to the second UE via a side-link connection.

    Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing sidelink communications among multiple user equipments (UEs). A UE operates according to a periodical discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle that includes a sidelink on-duration period when the UE is in an active state. The UE is in a power saving state outside the sidelink on-duration period. The UE listens to a Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH) for sidelink communications during the active state. A UE determines the DRX cycle and the sidelink on-duration period of a receiver UE, and sends a message to the receiver UE during one or more slots of the sidelink on-duration period when the receiver UE is in the active state.

    Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for providing a user equipment (UE) with on-demand reference signals for location related measurements of the UE. The UE can receive location assistance data from a network server, where the location assistance data includes information about a plurality of downlink reference signals that can be used to perform location related measurements by the UE. The UE can send a request to a base station for a reference signal. The reference signal is selected from the plurality of downlink reference signals of the location assistance data. Furthermore, the UE can receive the reference signal from the base station, and perform a location related measurement based on the received reference signal.
