Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain in high efficiency the title polymer useful for hoses, tubes, films, sealants etc., by reaction, under specified conditions, between a polyamide having OH groups at the both ends, dihydroxyhydrocarbon etc., and organic diisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:(A) a polyamide having OH groups at the both ends, (B) an alpha,omega-dihydroxyhydrocarbon or polyoxyalkylene glycol (e.g., polymethylene glycol) and (C) an organic diisocyanate (e.g., hexamethylene diisocyanate) are blended in such a molar ratio: C/A+B=0.6-1.3 (pref. 0.7-1.1) followed by heating the resultant blend to 120 to 270 deg.C to carry out reaction, thus obtaining the objective elastomer.
