Abstract:
Systems and methods for a media content user interface. A media content provider includes storage for storing and serving video content to subscribers. The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. Subscribers are provided a user interface to the system that includes a side bar. The user interface provides context sensitive hints to assist the viewer. The system also tracks a viewer's viewing history in a manner that allows the viewer to review and directly access any part of that history. Finally, magnetic points are created for use during video scrubbing to intelligently select relocation points for the current playback position.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for a media content user interface. A media content provider includes storage for storing and serving video content to subscribers. The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. Subscribers are provided a user interface to the system that includes a channel bar. The channel bar is dynamically scoped responsive to interactions of a viewer with the system. Selectable elements within the channel bar provide direct access to related content regarding video content, such as television series information and cast information. In addition, the channel bar is operable in multiple modes. An EPG mode displays live video for multiple channels simultaneously. Themed modes permit channel bars that display content according to various themes which may be defined by a viewer, the provider, or both.
Abstract:
Button functionalities for user interfaces, e.g., for use with a portable multifunction device, are disclosed. Exemplary button functionalities are described for an electronic device with a display, a rotatable and depressible input mechanism, and/or a button. Different device features may be accessed, depending on whether the rotatable and depressible input mechanism or the button is activated, and further depending on whether the activation represents a single press, a double press, or an extended press on the rotatable and depressible input mechanism or the button.
Abstract:
This application relates to performing organizational tasks using a variety of physical operations in a message application. The physical operations can include swiping actions performed by the user of the message application. By performing certain types of swipes on a user interface of the message application, the user can more readily organize messages stored by the message application. The types of swipes can include full swipes, which can execute one or more functions on a message, and partial swipes, which can open up a menu that includes multiple buttons for executing various operations on the message being swiped. Additionally, the direction of the swipe can also determine the functions and operations to be performed on the messag2018_02_13_Pe being swiped.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for sharing location information during a message conversation are provided. An electronic device detects a location-sharing request from a first participant of a message conversation to share first participant location information with a second participant. The device then enables the second participant to obtain the first participant location information during a predetermined location-sharing time period. In response to detecting interaction by one of the first participant and the second participant with the message conversation during the predetermined location-sharing time period, the device extends the predetermined location-sharing time period.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to viewing and updating application views. A device receives a user input, the input, when received initiating display of a plurality of application views of a set of application views. The device, in response to receiving the user input, displays the plurality of application views of the set of application views, wherein the set of application views includes preselected application views and an adaptive view that corresponds to a most recently opened application that is not one of the preselected application views.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and a camera sensor. The device displays a message region for displaying a message conversation and receives a request to add media to the message conversation. Responsive to receiving the request, the device displays a media selection interface concurrently with at least a portion of the message conversation. The media selection interface includes a plurality of affordances for selecting media for addition to the message conversation, the plurality of affordances includes a live preview affordance, at least a subset of the plurality of affordances includes thumbnail representations of media available for adding to the message conversation, and the live preview affordance is associated with a live camera preview. Responsive to detecting selection of the live preview affordance, the device captures a new image based on the live camera preview and selects the new image for addition to the message conversation.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays at least one device initialization screen. After displaying the at least one device initialization screen, the electronic device displays an instruction screen instructing a user to pair the external device with the electronic device. The electronic device sends first data via wireless communication, displays a pattern comprising identifying information of the electronic device, and receives second data indicating that the external device and the electronic device have been paired using the first data. After receiving the second data, the electronic device provides an aural or haptic indication that the electronic device and the external device have been paired. In some examples, the electronic device is a wearable electronic device and the external device is a smartphone. Pairing the electronic device and the external device may allow the devices to exchange information and operate interactively with one another.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to electronic message searching. An electronic device receives a request that includes a search term. The device can initiate a search based on the search term to produce a plurality of search results of a plurality of time periods that do not overlap. The device determine whether there are more than a predetermined number of search results for a given time period. If the predetermined number of results is exceeded, the device can display a search result group. If the predetermined number of results is not exceeded, the device can include the search results, corresponding to the given time period, in search results of a different time period. The device can also provide various affordances for narrowing or expanding the scope of the electronic message search.
Abstract:
A portable multifunction device includes a touch screen display, and one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors. The one or more programs including instructions for displaying an application, wherein the application includes a plurality of input elements that include a respective user input element. Detecting a first input that corresponds to selection of the respective user input element. In response to detecting the first input, enlarging the respective input element, and displaying an input interface for selecting input for the respective user input element, wherein the input interface includes a plurality of text input choices. While displaying the input interface, detecting a second input that corresponds to selection of a respective text input choice of the plurality of text input choices. After detecting the second input, using text that corresponds to the respective text input choice as input for the respective user input element.
