In some embodiments: a UE receives configuration information for a resource pool; determines a type of traffic to be transmitted by the UE, the type to include aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic; determines, based on the configuration information and traffic type, first and second values to define a window for contiguous partial sensing; and performs contiguous partial sensing within the window.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing uplink transmissions during a dual active protocol stack handover. A wireless device may determine a propagation delay between the wireless device and each of a source cell and a target cell of a dual active protocol stack handover by the wireless device. The wireless device may provide an indication to the source cell of the propagation delay between the wireless device and the source cell, the propagation delay between the wireless device and the target cell, and a propagation delay difference handling capability of the wireless device. The cellular base station that provides the source cell may determine a time division multiplexing pattern for uplink communication for the wireless device during the dual active protocol stack handover based at least in part on the information provided by the wireless device.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for using an assistance information framework to perform fast carrier aggregation and dual connectivity configuration. A wireless device may provide assistance information for determining a carrier aggregation or dual connectivity configuration to a cellular base station. The assistance information may be provided while establishing a radio resource control connection. The assistance information may include either or both of carrier aggregation or dual connectivity preference information for the wireless device or service data amount information for the wireless device. Abstract: Methods to enhance the coverage of NR systems for coverage-limited wireless devices are disclosed. A serving base station may configure a coverage-limited UE with parameters for the UE to operate in a coverage enhancement mode through RRC signaling, DCI, or RAR grant. The UE may use the configuration parameters to determine whether to enter into the coverage enhancement mode when connecting and communicating with the serving base station. The configuration parameters may configure the UE to exploit both time diversity and frequency diversity to extend and enhance coverage when receiving PDSCH and PDCCH channels. The UE may use the configuration parameters to receive PDSCH and PCCCH that are coverage enhanced using time repetitions and frequency hopping. Advantageously, the base station may flexibly and dynamically configure the UE with coverage enhancement parameters to extend the coverage of the UE using time diversity and frequency diversity gains as the UE moves around.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) includes first and second subscriber identity modules (SIMs), possibly subscribed to different carriers. When the first SIM is in a connected state and the second SIM is in an idle state, the UE may need to periodically tune away a radio from a first frequency used for communication under the first SIM to a second frequency used for idle mode activity under the second SIM. The UE may provide to the network of the first SIM the second SIMs traffic activity pattern and/or serving frequency so that the network may provide coordinated configuration and/or scheduling for the UE device, e.g., in order to make the action of tuning away (and tuning back) the radio more efficient and/or to decrease the network impact of such radio tune aways (e.g., to decrease wasted uplink scheduling and wasted downlink transmissions for the first SIM).

Abstract: Systems and methods for enhancing the use of pre-emptive buffer status reports (pre-BSRs) in wireless communications systems implementing integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks are disclosed herein. In some cases, an IAB node can re-classify the LCGs of one or more incoming data flows according to such pre-BSR usage. This may involve the use of and extended medium access control (MAC) control element (MAC CE) having more LCG bits than previously contemplated, having sub-LCG bits, or that includes further LCG classification information bits. Other embodiments use a priority index for LCGs in an extended pre-BSR MAC CE. The priority index may include one or more of a priority field, a prioritized bit rate (PBR), and/or a bucket size duration (BSD) that is reported to an IAB donor. Other embodiments leverage the provision of additional grants from an IAB node to a child IAB node to reduce unwanted pre-BSR effects.

Abstract: A system for determining and reporting user equipment (UE) time gap requirement information for performing a measurement on a reference signal provided by a target base station. A UE receives a radio resource control (RRC) message from a current base station to modify a current RRC connection. The RRC configuration message may comprise sub carrier spacing (SCS) information of one or more target frequency bands of at least one target base station. The UE may then determine gap information based at least in part on the received SCS information of the one or more target frequency bands. The gap information may indicate whether a gap is needed in performing measurements on a reference signal transmitted at each of the one or more target frequency bands. The UE then transmits the gap information to the current base station.
