Abstract:
A solid catalyst component for polymerizing at least one olefin comprising Mg, Ti, at least one halogen, and at least one electron donor selected from arylsulfonates and arylsulfonyl derivatives of a specified formula. The solid catalyst component is able to give in high yields polyolefins with high stereoregularity.
Abstract:
Lewis base adducts comprising MgCln(OR)2-n, and an aprotic Lewis base that are in molar ratios to each other defined by the formula: MgCln(OR)2-nLBp in which n is from 0.1 to 1.9, p is higher than 0.4, and R is a C1-C15 hydrocarbon group. The adducts of the present invention are particularly useful as precursors of Ziegler-Natta catalyst components for the polymerization of olefins.
Abstract:
A polyolefin composition comprising: A) from 19 wt% to 50 wt% of a propylene ethylene copolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt% to 6.0 wt% B) from 50 wt% to 81 wt% of a propylene ethylene 1-butene terpolymer having an ethylene derived units content ranging from 1.5 wt% and 6.0 wt% and 1-butene derived units content of between 4.8 wt% and 12.4 wt%; the sum of the amount of component A) and B) being 100; the composition being characterized by the following features: - molecular weight distribution (MWD), expressed in terms of Mw/Mn, greater than 4.0; - the creep and recovery curve measured on the polymer fuse at 200°C measured accordingto the procedure reported in the characterizing section shows a maximum value between 600 and 200 seconds lower than 53x10-4 1/Pa.
Abstract:
Process for the preparation of a porous propylene carried out in the presence of a catalyst system comprising (a) a Ziegler-Natta catalyst containing at least two electron donor compounds one of which being present in an amount from 50 to 90% by mol with respect to the total amount of donors and selected from succinates and the other being selected from 1,3 diethers, (b) an aluminum alkyl and comprising the following steps: i) contacting the catalyst components (a) and (b) for a period of time ranging from 1 to 60 minutes, at a temperature ranging from 35 to 55°C; optionally, ii) pre-polymerizing with one or more olefins of formula CH2=CHR, where R is H or a C1-C10 hydrocarbon group, up to forming amounts of polymer from about 0.1 up to about 1000 g per gram of solid catalyst component (a); and iii) polymerizing propylene in the optional presence of minor amounts of ethylene and/or C4-C10 alpha olefins producing said porous propylene (co)polymer.
Abstract:
Catalyst component for the polymerization of olefins comprising Mg, Ti and an electron donor compound of the following formula (I) In which R to R 12 groups, equal to or different from each other, are hydrogen, halogen or C 1 -C 15 hydrocarbon groups, optionally containing an heteroatom selected from halogen, P, S, N and Si, with the proviso that R groups cannot be hydrogen and that the carboxylate groups are in trans configuration with respect to each other.
