Abstract:
Soft polyolefin composition with improved processability comprising from 8 to 45% by weight of a polypropylene component (A), from 82 to 45% by weight of an elastomeric component (B), and from 10 to 25% by weight of a viscosity reducing agent (C) comprising polybutene-1 and paraffinic wax or grease. The composition is easily processable also by injection moulding and has better tensile properties than compositions in which processability is improved by visbreaking.
Abstract:

A polyolefin composition, particularly suited for preparing gaskets for closures, comprising: A) from 60 to 89% by weight of a copolymer of butene-1 with ethylene having a copolymerized ethylene content of up to 18% by mole and no melting peak detectable at the DSC at the second heating scan; B) from 11 to 40% by weight of an ethylene polymer having density of from 0.900 to 0.970 g/cm3, measured according to ISO 1183 at 23°C; wherein the amounts of A) and B) are referred to the total weight of A) + B).
Abstract:
1 -butene/ethylene/propylene terpolymer containing: c) from 4 to 10 wt% of ethylene derived units, and d) from 2 tol0wt% of propylene derived units; the said terpolymer having the following properties: - distribution of molecular weights (Mw/Mn) measured by GPC lower than 3; - no melting point detectable at the DSC; - melting enthalpy, measured after 10 days of aging at room temperature, from 12 to 20 J/g
Abstract:
Films especially suitable for the packaging of fresh foodstuff, like salad and vegetables, due to their high permeability to oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapour, are obtained from polyolefin composition comprising (percentage by weight): A) 5 % to 80 % of a butene-1 polymer or polymer composition containing from 0 % to 25 % of one or more comonomers selected from ethylene and alpha-olefÊns different from 1-butene, provided that, when ethylene only is present as comomomer, the amount of ethylene is higher than 4 % and a copolymer fraction (i) containing at least 6.2 % of ethylene is present, said polymer or polymer composition having a content of fraction soluble in xylene at 0°C of from 50 % to 100 % and a Flexural Modulus (measured according to ISO 178) from 15 to 300 MPa; B) 20 % to 95 % of a propylene homopolymer or copolymer having a content of fraction insoluble in xylene at room temperature of 93 % or more.
