Abstract: The invention relates to composite elements comprising the following laminar structure: (i) 2 to 20 mm metal; (ii) 10 to 100 mm polyisocyanate polyaddition products having a density ranging from 350 to 1050 kg/m that can be obtained by reacting (a) isocyanates with (b) compounds, which are reactive to isocyanates, in the presence of (f) expanding agents, and; (iii) 2 to 20 mm metal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing soft and elastic, semi-hard or hard moulded bodies of polyurethane which are fluorochlorohydrocarbon-free and have a cellular core as well as a compacted side area. This method comprises reacting a) polyisocyanates with b) at least one compound having at least two reactive hydrogen atoms, with c) foaming agents, with d) catalysts and with e) optional auxiliary agents and/or additives. This method is characterised in that the foaming agents c) contain c1) at least one carbodiimide-forming catalyst and c2) at least one carboxylic acid and/or the anhydride thereof.
