Abstract: 1357398 Emulsifier system for plant protection agents BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODAFABRIK AG 29 Oct 1971 [30 Oct 1970] 50423/71 Heading A5E [Also in Division C3] Bi-component emulsifier systems for use in the formulation of plant protection agents comprise (A) from 30 to 75% by weight (based on the total emulsifier system) of a compound of the formula: (wherein R 1 denotes C 8-12 alkyl, R 2 denotes hydrogen or R 1 , m denotes 5 to 40 and n denotes 10 to 50), and (B) from 70 to 25% by weight (based on the total emulsifier system) of a compound of the formula: (wherein R 3 denotes C 8-18 alkyl and Me denotes an alkaline earth metal). The above emulsifier system may be dissolved in a polar solvent such as dimethyl formamide, dimethylacetamide, N-methylpyrrolidone, a C 3-8 alcohol or a mixture thereof. Specified plant protection agents are isobutyl 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate, toxaphene malathain and methyl and ethyl parathion, and these are preferably mixed with 2 to 15% by weight of the emulsifier system or a 20 to 85% by weight solution thereof in a polar solvent. The resulting plant protection compositions may be diluted with water prior to use.
